Chapter 2: The Creation Part 1

-Krassius

Slowly sitting up on the edge of my bed, staring through the window as the sun rose from the night to set light upon the world, I calmly I rose to my feet for a morning stretch and yawned softly as I pondered what I should wear for the day.

I carefully walked to my dresser for my iron training sword with which I had secretly been taking lessons from Unasi, an old hermit, who said he could teach me to wield a sword better than any man alive. Sure, he may have been exaggerating but I really didn't have much choice, not if I ever wanted to seek relentless revenge on the demon Myakou.

Sword in hand I walked over to my window, removed the wooden cross that guarded it and eased my way out onto the soft spring grass that covers most of Xhar, the name of my once peaceful village. "Oww! Geez, I have got to build me a ladder or something, cause' if I keep sliding out my window like that I'll likely break my back.

Alright, I have approximately three hours until my mother wakes up to go to work in the Belltrom Bar; a local bar owned by one of fathers closest friends," kneeling below my window sword in hand I could sense the stillness of the village.

"Help!! Stay away from me, I don't have the sword!" sounded the voice of my mother shaken with fear from inside the house. My heart froze and my body shuttered with fear as I gripped my sword tightly within my hands, he had returned!

-Mother

"What is wrong with you woman? I spoke not of the blade, what is it you are scheming?" said the demon Myakou, letting only a hint of nervousness seep through his demonic expressions.

"You poor child, so cursed have you become, you can't even see that it was I who knew the true location of the fabled blade you seek. You will be the one to unleash its awesome power upon the world, only to have it taken by another." I watched as rage boiled strong within Myakou, his eyes reddened illuminating the dark mist that surrounded him.

Soon he would strike me down, freeing me from this body, allowing for my son, Krassius, to redeem the power he so desires. The prophecies will be fulfilled and Krassius shall become the new Keeper of Syon, blade of the Red Dragon; it will be then that my time spent shall be rewarded!

Quickly climbing back through my window I ran into the hallway in hopes of defending mother from the vicious Myakou. "Mother?!" I could only whisper as I felt a dead silence fill the house.

I approached the corner putting my back to the smooth logs of our house while gripping my sword in my shaking hands. Time seemed to slow as a dark mist began to fill the entire house. Frozen in fear I held my sword tightly within my hands. My chest began to rise as I contemplated the misery that lay around the corner, I could hear the fierce beat of my heart like thunder in the plains of hell.

Slowly I unsheathed my sword and the mist surrounded me on all sides...I inched my way around the corner. What I saw next sent a sharp pain through my heart and I stood there frozen in terror, tears flowing from my eyes to the floor beneath me.

The entire room had been swallowed by a thick redness, guts and limbs lay splattered over the walls and floor. Shaking with fright I knew not what to do, my mother was no more.

Falling to my knees, sulking with guilt, I violently slammed my fist into the ground splashing my mother's warm blood on my face and hands. Putting my hand close to my face I stared at the slimy warm blood. My mind was dull, I was in shock, then I heard the soft sound of footsteps and a round blur rolled over to me.

Afraid to let my blurred vision clear I turned away from the foul smelling object and slowly arose, my heart burned with hatred. I did not know what I intended to do but I had to do something, better to die and be reunited with my family than to live knowing I did nothing to save them.

From the shadows of this mist a figure approached me, clad in invisible robes he blended completely with his surroundings only his red eyes shined bright through the darkness.
