Chapter 71: Oleg
Jeff alongside the two girls were in a van before the Hydra facility.
"Are you sure this is the place? I mean there aren't even any guards. " Anya questioned as she looked at the supposed facility which to her looked like a normal warehouse.
In response to her question, Jeff motioned to her to look ahead. On a bench not far away from them sat two people who seemed to just be talking to one another, but to the trained eye of the three in the van they realized they were watching the warehouse.
"Look closer, at their jacket." Jeff brought their attention to bulges that could barely be seen, "guns" Inessa realized.
"I'll deal with those two" Inessa offered before she stepped out of the Van. Oliver and Anya shared a look before they stepped out of the van as well.
Inessa approached the two men who had now noticed her and turned their attention to her. Her widow training kicked in as she pretended she was lost.
The men were suspicious at first as the placed their hands on their guns but as their conversation continued their guards were let down. This was the moment Inessa was waiting for as she quickly took out her gun and fired two quick shots.
Seeing they were dead, she moved closer to them and arranged their clothes in such a way that it just looked like they were sleeping.
After doing so, Inessa moved to the other two who were before the warehouse waiting. Inessa stared into Jeff's eyes, and as Jeff stared back at her he saw something in her eye but he said nothing.
The three made their way into the warehouse and began a shootout. The Hydra agents within were completely shocked when the three barged in gun blazing.
Gunshots resounded as the agents scrabbled to grab their weapons so as to fight back. Jeff saw one them and blasted their arm off before rushing in and putting a bullet into their head.
In a room where the reagents were kept, an agent grabbed all that was left and began heading for another exit but before he could escape a knife appeared before him.
He turned back to source to see Jeff who was standing there. Jeff had run out of bullets, making his way there.
"I need that case" Jeff spoke to the man who only responded with the two words, "Hail Hydra".
After the man had done so he charged straight for Jeff, Jeff moved to the side narrowly avoiding a wide swing from the man. Jeff proceeded to grab the man's arm before delivering successive quick jabs to the guys ribs, the wind was knocked out the man's lungs.
Jeff grabbed him by the throat and brought him closer to his face, "Where is Dreykov?" The man gained a weird smirk but before he could do what he wanted Jeff shoved his hand into the man's mouth and ripped out the cyanide hidden in a false tooth.
The man screamed out in pain as he did so, "you don't get to decide how you die."
Jeff slammed the guys face into a table before leaving him to fall with a bloody face. The girls walked in at that moment and saw the man on the floor groaning in pain with Jeff holding the case with the reagent in it.
The two had a go with the man before finally killing him. "do you feel better?" Jeff's voice came from behind, "no, I will when I free the others."
"Let's go" Anya spoke as she took the lead to leave the facility. All three left and got back into the van before heading to the friend who had his own lab.
"Oleg!" Anya calked out to her friend as they hugged each other, "Anya, you brought Inessa alongside... who is this?" Oleg questioned as he looked at Jeff with a questioning look in his eye. Oleg was a skinny guy with glasses which looked like they were a size too big.
Jeff just stared him down with a look that seemed to be judging him.
"He is helping us out, so we got the reagent are you sure you can do it?" Anya asked once again interrupting the stare down between the two men.
"Of course I can", Oleg nodded as he got to work in a few minutes one vial was ready and from the way he jumped and shouted yes! the other three were sure it was a success.
"this is a success although we have yet to test it I'm sure, and with this and the amount of reagent you have we should be able to make enough", Oleg handed over the cure to Inessa, who in turn handed it Jeff who had a closer look at it.
As Jeff took it before he could have a closer look he saw someone come out of the shadows.
"Get down!" Jeff shouted as he ducked for cover.
