Chapter 68: Valentines Day
A few days later...
(At the Earth kingdom)
Josh handed the princess a bouquet of flowers. Lucy then smiled and asked him how he knew she liked red camellias.
The general scratched his head. "I asked your brother."
The princess held the flowers. "Josh, these aren't cheap..."
"Don't worry, I've saved up a lot of money for that."
"You didn't need to," Lucy said as tears started falling from her eyes.
Josh's eyes widened. "What's wrong? Do you not like it?"
"Thank you, Josh. I love it."
"I'm glad you do."
"Josh, what about your money...?"
"I'm not that poor, princess."
"Are you sure? I'll just repay you."
Josh covered her mouth. "Its fine. I bought it because I love you. I'm willing to spend that much money to make you the happiest woman in the world."
"I feel so bad. I wasn't even able to prepare a gift. Do you not want anything?" Lucy hugged him.
The general then told her that there was only one thing he wanted, and that was her kiss.
"Is that really what you—"
Without letting her continue, Josh instantly brushed his lips against hers in a tantalizing way. The princess's eyes then widened as she looked at the general's eyes that were closed.
He broke the kiss. "I don't think you understand how much I want your lips."
Lucy blushed. "You didn't even let me finish!"
"It's your turn now."
"Close your eyes."
The princess then slowly brought her face closer and kissed the general. As soon as Josh felt her lips, he instantly grabbed her waist and put his hand at the back of the princess's head. As the kiss deepened, both their heart beats started raising.
"You look so tempting." Josh chuckled.
"What a mischievous young man," Lucy sighed.
"Are you bothered by my actions?"
"Yes, I am."
"You enjoy it don't you?"
"What?"
"You enjoy me being naughty." Josh smiled.
As soon as she heard that, she froze. Lucy was the type of woman that liked boys who were the exact opposite of him, but how did she end up falling for a guy like him? She wanted to tell him that she liked the way he is now, but it was all too embarrassing.
"I don't!" Lucy yelled.
"Oh really? Shall I act like a good boy then?"
"Okay. I'll have to admit that I enjoy it."
"What did you say?"
Lucy sighed, "Don't make me repeat it, Josh."
"I didn't hear you," the general lied.
"I won't say it again."
"If I heard it right, you said that you wanted me to be naughty with you."
"I did say that..."
"Why are you being shy?"
The princess looked away. "No particular reason."
"Your lies are really obvious."
The princess then admitted that she gets really she when she was with him because she still couldn't believe that they were together. She felt like it was a dream.
"I've been madly in love with you ever since the first day I met you. Every time I see you, I just keep falling deeper in love with you."
"What do you mean?"
The general replied, "In short, I get nervous around you too."
"Until now?" Lucy asked.
"That was before. I've adjusted to it already."
"You're really something, I love you, Josh."
"I love you too, princess."
Meanwhile...
(At the throne room)
Charlotte stood in front of the the king and queen and told them that she wanted to resign. Valentina then asked her the reason why.
Charlotte sighed, "I bet it's obvious, your majesty."
"If this is about Josh, please don't take it to heart," Valentina responded.
"I won't, your majesty. Thank you for your concern."
"Are you sure that you really want to go?" the king asked.
Charlotte replied, "Yes, your majesty."
"I guess we have no choice then. Thank you for your time with us, Charlotte."
A few hours later, while Charlotte was on her way to the main gate, she heard noticed that someone was following her. She then looked back and saw Mark.
Charlotte smiled. "Are you here to see me out?"
"I'm here to bring you back."
"What do you mean?"
Mark grabbed her shoulders. "I like you, Charlotte. I've always loved you."
