Chapter 70: Ache

(At the Water kingdom)

Olivia informed Cameron that Eleanor fainted because the blue gem's crack got bigger. Cameron then asked if there was any way to fix it.

Olivia responded, "There is one way. You have to combine the red and blue gem in her heart."

Cameron sighed, "That's not possible."

"The blue gem in princess Eleanor's heart can break any time."

"Aren't you gonna do anything about it?"

"There's nothing I can do. Only your father can heal her."

A few hours later...

Eleanor slowly opened her eyes and saw Cameron sitting on her bed. She then asked him what happened.

"You fainted," Cameron said as he handed her a cup of water.

"It's probably because of the blue gem isn't it?"

"Yes, but why didn't you tell me earlier that it had a crack?"

"Do you think that I'll remember everything in one day?"

"Well now I know that your suffering from that," Cameron responded.

The princess asked, "Have you talked with Olivia?"

"Yes, while I was in the royal hall. Why?"

"We haven't talked in a while. I miss her voice."

"Then go and talk to her."

"I don't have time. I have a lot of things to do."

"You don't have time and yet you have time to talk with him?"

Eleanor shouted, "You are just—"

Before she was able to finish, Cameron leaned forward Flicked her forehead.

"You're so cute." Cameron laughed.

"You!"

"See ya later." Cameron smiled as he made his way out of the room.

(In the throne room)

"What do we do now?" Mia asked.

"Only Albert will be able to heal her, your majesty," Olivia sighed.

"Why don't we try combining the blue and red gem again? Didn't you say that it could save her?" Mateo responded.

"If the crack gets bigger and bigger," Olivia answered. "She will die."

"No! We must find a way!" the queen shouted as tears started falling from her eyes.

The king then hugged Mia and told her to not worry because he was sure that there was a cure. Mia laughed and told him that the only person who could help them was Albert and he's no where to be found.

"Mia, calm down," said Mateo.

"How can I? Eleanor can die any time!" Mia cried.

"She won't," a man came in and interrupted.

"King Cameron?" Mateo responded.

Cameron smiled. "There is a way to cure her without my father's help."

"What is it?" the queen asked.

"This," Cameron said as he brought out a small bottle.

"Your majesty, this is...?" Olivia asked.

"This is a medicine that my father gave me a few years back. It can heal anything."

"Why did you just mention that now?"

"I've been thinking about whether to use it or not."

"Your majesty, it's the princess's life at sake here!" Olivia shouted.

"You don't know how valuable this is to me," Cameron said. "You use it once, you never get to use it again."

"King Cameron, are you sure about this?" Mia asked.

Cameron smiled. "Olivia's right. Her life's more important."

"Thank you," the king said.

Meanwhile...

(In Leo's bedroom)

"This is all your fault!" a voice shouted.

"Jack, I didn't know that the gem could detect my presence," Leo apologized.

"When I see you, I'll really slice you into pieces!" Jack said.

"Slice me then. We're just talking through this obsolete mirror."

"This is not the time to laugh."

"I'm still doing what I'm supposed to do."

"You think she'll pick you over Cameron? In your dreams!"

"Then what do you want me to do? You just ordered me to confess to her," Leo said.

"Haven't you been longing for her? I've brought you back to life and you aren't even thankful?" Jack asked.

"She just sees me as a friend."

"Then make a way to let her fall in love with you. Once we get a hold of the blue gem, we'll be able to move on to the next step."

Leo sighed, "It's not that easy to make her like me."

Jack responded, "I don't care. Just remember that you have two and a half months left till you die again."

"Is there any way to extend my life?"

"Even if there was, I won't do it. Your task is so simple, yet you can't even accomplish it!"

"I won't let you down."

"You better keep your word. Remember that it's not only gonna be my loss. It gonna be yours too." Jack smiled.
