Chapter 36: Loophole

There was some time gap between the old man was unconscious and him regaining it back and till that time these people were discussing stuff and that's when he indeed hear one of them mention the Russo gang, initially he planned to pretend as if he doesn't know who they were but because of them mentioning it he decided to go with it and he forgot it but now after scratching his brain as to why the hell he slipped about the Russo gang he recollected what exactly happened and sighed in relief.

For a moment he thought he committed a blunder by revealing Russo gang at that time but now he was sure why he did what he did, so he confidently answered Amara's question.

"Oh right, I did mention Russo gang while tying up the old man" Jim answered as he recollected mentioning it.

Amara furrowed her brows as she was expecting it to be a loophole but Joshua had a perfect explanation for that too.

"Yes, and to look cool I behaved that way" Joshua hesitantly confessed, right now he was ready to do anything to get off Amara's suspicions of him.

Amara had no way to refute anything as his story made perfect sense, she tried to think harder if there was something suspicious, he did but there was literally nothing else, still she asked him another question,

"You planned to join us from before or it was impulsive?"

"Absolutely impulsive, I was only planning to handover the diamonds but then I decided to gain some benefits from it and so I immediately made the decision to join you guys."

She had nothing else to say or ask so she gave her permission to James to run a background check on Joshua.

Unbeknownst to all Joshua sighed in relief and smirked as he is now one more step closer to his goal.
