The moment the car had turned to the familiar street, I instantly knew where we were heading. Shiro glanced my way, but I ignored him, helping myself not to glare at him.
My heart was rapidly beating against my chest.
Beyond wanting to smack Shiro in the head and demand to turn the car around, I was more concerned about seeing Kevin.
Clutching my hands into fists, I could almost hear the loud noise of my chest, my heart beginning an irregular rhythm.
"I know what you must be thinking," Shiro stated from the front seat. "But believe me, Rose. This is for the better good. I think you can agree with me on the idea that you need to keep your focus on Takahashi, and the thought of Kevin gets you distracted from time to time."
I didn't want to respond. My sarcasm was at its peak, and it won't do Shiro any good hearing me say anything as of the moment.
