Chapter 4: Green goo
Lamar stayed in the secret sanctuary for two days now, he was quite bored. He spent most of his time in the gymnasium lifting heavyweights. He tried all the gym equipment and nothing made him put in some effort. All the weights felt like paper he even broke a couple of them on accident.
He desired to see how fast he could run but there wasn't enough space to try it out. He didn't want to zoom through a wall. He already broke a lot of things and he didn't want to add more to the list.
So besides working out, he has been watching TV, on the news channel, he could see some of the justice league members fighting villains. He learned the names of some of them such as The Flash, Wonder woman, Captain atom, and Martian Manhunter.
Currently, he was watching a Hero pair named Hawkman and Hawkgirl fight some villain named The falcon Live. The pair were flying with giant white wings on their back across the sky ducking and weaving attacks with grace and precision from The falcon.
They wear both wearing golden helmets and are armed with maces. They looked like War angels.
The falcon wasn't weak either he fought with fast movements contributed by his giant red wings. He was in a stalemate with Hawkman for a bit but The falcon was at a numbers disadvantage. That was his downfall.
Hawkgirl came out of nowhere shooting through the sky like a comet and landed a heavy Blow to his abdomen with her Leg.
Boom. Boom.
The falcon was sent rocketing downwards towards an open grassy area leaving multiple craters in the ground. The TV screen zoomed in on The falcon's motionless body.
'Yup Knocked out cold.' Thought Lamar staring at the TV. Watching the fight his blood was pumping. He wanted to get out there and fight too! Lamar didn't realize but the TV remote in his hand broke from the pressure he was applying to it.
After watching the superhero duo take care of The falcon he was once again bored. He stood up and walked towards the huge window leaning on it he stared down at the large city, The happy harbor.
'What if I become a hero? I have powers why not use them for something right?.' he thought a little longer and came to a conclusion.
"I will wait a bit I don't even know how to control them properly and what does it even mean to be a hero?'
After a while, He went back to lazying around sometimes a Justice league robot would restock the kitchen so he ate to his heart's content but even that didn't satisfy him.
"Ugh, I need to do something" Lamar groaned out laying on the couch. He got up and left the lounge area traveling through the grey corridors he saw many different rooms with different designs most were locked. Only allowing justice league members to enter.
As he was traveling to the lower floors of the base his supersenses were telling him something was not quite right. He upped his guard and pushed forward. He stopped before a large golden door. On the top of the door, a sign read, "The meeting chamber." The thing that caught his eye however wasn't the sign some green glob sliding down the doorway was.
'What is this stuff.' he thought
he started observing the green liquid. He reached his hand out and was about to touch it but the green glob started moving sliding back through the cracks behind the door vanishing from Lamar's view.
Lamar was intrigued he reached for the door handle using his power to open the door. suddenly the door was broken on the other side, as a result, Lamar and the door both got tossed by the force.
Lamar was flung through multiple walls before digging his hands into the ground and finding balance. He stood up dusting himself off
"What hit me?" Lamar spoke out calmly not at all injured by the collisions. Before hit got hit by the door time seemed to slow down and he saw the door inches away from his face. he quickly put his guard up.
Looking straight ahead and through multiple destroyed walls he could see the meeting chamber. A huge green blob slowly revealed itself. Just standing there it took up most of the space in the corridor. Lamar observed it intently and noticed that it was slowly getting larger by absorbing the electricity sparking from the broken circuits.
'What is that? It must not be a league member, Green arrow said this place was not utilized by them anymore. Why did it attack me? But most importantly it seems to be getting stronger by absorbing energy?"
Lamar was analyzing his situation. He might have to fight this green blob thing. As if the blob heard his words it started to roll towards him gaining speed quite fast. Lamar leaped into the air landing on the wall behind him and jumped towards another wall he did this movement in a split second barely dodging the incoming Blob.
The Blob tore through the wall Lamar was previously on.
'Ah damn, that thing is faster than I thought,' Lamar promptly got into an amateurish fighting stance.
The blob turned back around and moved straight towards Lamar.
Smashing through all obstacles in its way. This time Lamar was prepared and waited till it was right in front of him and flexed his leg before stomping on the ground cracking it open in all directions before kicking at the blod dead center.
'This is gonna hurt!' Lamar thought with a smirk.
When his leg connected with the blods green body time seemed to slowed down.
Bobooooooooom!
A Thunderous bang sounded out in all directions. The green Blob's body shot through multiple walls before rocketing out of the Secret Sanctuary. Crash-landing on the next mountain making it tremble.
Lamar watched the whole thing happen and was surprised by his power because he didn't use all of his strength
"What would happen if I didn't hold back?"
