All I remember was falling, falling into the darkness for eternity.
'Where am I? Who am I?' He thought as he drifted.
Then, he felt a tug and started rising into a bright light. He covered his eyes from the burning light, he started feeling pain in his head as his memories came back to him.
My name is Nathaniel Aldair. Ever since I was born I was bullied, tormented, and mocked for existing and wanting to be a hero. About 10 minutes ago, I was murdered under a bridge.
After a few moments of remembering, I uncovered my eyes and slowly opened them to find myself in a white throne room with the literal sun shining on the roof. I started looking around on where I was but I heard footsteps on the granite floor behind me.
"Oh, good you're awake!" I turned around to meet a man. He looked like a God from ancient Egypt, Ra.
"Hello, I'm Ra the sun god. You have been summoned here for two reasons, one you lived a pure-hearted life, and two you should have never died." He said.
"Umm… what do you mean 'should have never died'?" I asked
"Well, you were supposed to not die, I can't get into details, or else that could end the universe itself," he said.
"Oh" was my response.
"Yeah, oh."
"Now, since the timeline is so messed up let's mess it up more," He said walking towards me, then as he kneeled in front of me, he placed his hand over my forehead.
Then memories came crashing into my brain, making me feel like I was on fire. The memories of humans worshiping me, being a woman, flying all over the world saving the broken, dying, and coming back to life, giving powers to a child in China, starting the quirk era, and All for one killing me.
I looked up at my father that I hadn't seen since I was born, and reached up to hug him. He returned my hug with parental love that I hadn't felt since the first time I was born.
"Now, do you remember what you can do?" He asked, breaking the hug and comfortable silence between them.
"Umm… kinda. Some of it is still blurry, I do know I'm immortal." I said.
"Yes, you are immortal as you are my daugh- I mean son, that's going to get some getting used to, anyways you have pyrokinesis as you are made of fire, and the more emotional the hotter the flames," He said, sitting on his knees in front of me as I nodded my head.
"You can transform into any bird and your human form but your phoenix form in your true form. You have regeneration and can heal anything and anyone with you tears. You have super strength because of your true form being gigantic, I'm not calling you fat!!" Father quickly said as I was about to roast his ass. After I calmed down, he continued.
"Anyways, I don't know what will happen with your body since there's never been a male phoenix, but just incase use a condom if you ever have sex," Father said, with a smirk on his face as I turned red and my flames igniting out of embarrassment.
"I CAN GET PREGNANT!!!" I yelled, embarrassed to the core.
"Well, I don't know that but just to be safe. AND YOU SHOULD ALWAYS USE A CONDOM MISSY!!" He yelled back.
"I'M A BOY!!"
"Oh, sorry. But," Father said, with a pause to add suspense.
"Do I have to remind you of أجاد ('ajad)" I went even redder remembering my first and only love.
أجاد was one of my worshipers from ancient Egypt, he one day prayed to me asking for one of my tears to heal his sick mother. Of course, me being in my arrogant teens, made him do a bunch of tasks to gain my tears.
As each task he did, like bring me the head of a siren, I felt more intrigued by him. When he was done with all the tasks, I gave him a tear, and as I was leaving he told me I was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. After that we started hanging out, talking about our lives and what we would like to do in the future.
As time went on we grew more in love every second, and then after a few years of knowing each other, we got married.
But our happiness ended there, the humans heard of me being in a village close by and went to capture me.
It was night, and we were resting in bed when they came bursting through the door with iron chains. They captured me in my human form then started torturing me and أجاد.
Then, after hours of humiliation, أجاد suddenly grabbed the men that were about to touch me as they tried to take my purity (even though أجاد already took that, hehe), the men suddenly all fell to the ground-- lifeless.
He was blessed by my Uncle, Anubis, with the gift of Death's hands as a late wedding present. The gift never worked on me being immortal, and Uncle Anubis.
We then ran away to a place you might know as Alaska, we lived there until أجاد died of old age. We could never have kids because there can only be one Phoenix in existence, but we had wanted them.
"Hey, stop thinking about him while you're with me!" I don't know how, but my face was starting to turn blue with all this teasing.
After a few minutes of calming down, I started feeling depressed because I won't be able to see أجاد again. I brushed my hand through my hair trying to relieve myself of the stress.
"Hey, I'm sorry for bringing up أجاد." Father apologized.
"It's okay, I should get over it. It's been about what… 3,000 years." I said sadly.
We sat there in silence before Father bolted up and ran to the telephone that connects to the other gods. He dialed a number and when the phone was picked up he started arguing with the other god.
"I need to ask a favor… No, I'm not asking for a monster… It's for my daugh- I mean son… Yes, I got him back… Yes, It's about أجاد… Please, I'll give you anything that is to the extent of my powers… Thank you so very much, Osiris. Wait, that's too far ba-- fuck he hung up." Father said, then hung up the phone.
"What was that about?" I asked.
"Oh, you'll see when you wake up. Just to warn you, you might see a certain someone when you wake up." Father said in a tone that makes their child want to run away in a hole to die of embarrassment.
My vision started to go black but before I heard, "I hope you are happy with him again, my little Phoenix."

I woke up again on a not so comfy couch, I looked around the room and saw it was pretty modern looking except for the shrine that's in the corner. I couldn't tell who the shrine was for so I sat up to go look, only to find I'm wearing ONLY an oversized black hoodie and some white kneehigh socks.
"Oh, I see my Phoenix is awake. Think you could get rid of me that easily did you."
I looked up to see where the voice was coming from, only to see the one I thought I lost forever.
