Chapter 3: Chapter 3 : The fairy of the flowers' scent

A pleasant morning filled with the melodious chirping of the birds. What a calming day.
Well, not for everyone.
" yay! This .Is .Awesome! "
14 year old Estacia shouted in pleasure while diving into the water from the waterfall.
She burst out from under the water and her hair glowed and turned ocean blue with its end turning marine green.
As for her eyes , they turned light pink similar to the sun setting on the ocean.
Her beauty was quite extraordinary.
"Come on Lerin! Don't just stand there!"
She raised her voice from down the waterfall to a figure standing above the waterfall.
"Well excuse me but I am not as fearless as you are! What if my hair gets destroyed ? I just did a new hairstyle today!"
Shouted a girl with curly bright red hair , a little fair skin and night black eyes.
"Is there any second where you are not worried about your hair?"
Estacia shouted to the Lerin who was shaking from fear above the waterfall.
"Ok, I am coming. However, you must pay the price if incase something happens to me."
After saying these words with a cowering voice, Lerin jumped while screaming,
"My. Dear. Haiiiiirrrrr!!"
Everything was going smoothly when she was falling until something like a creature just zoomed past her, heading towards the forest and vanished.
"Estacia! Help!"
Cried Lerin.
Estacia jumped from the water in a stunt that made her look similar to a flying fish, grab hold of Lerin and dived back into the water without getting hurt at all.
"How in the world did you do that?"
Estacia shrugged while saying,
"I don't know, I just did tha-" she looked away like something just distracted her midsentence.
"Do you hear that"
"Nope. I don't hear a thing."
Lerin said while shaking her head.
"Someone is watching us."
Estacia said while looking at the surroundings suspiciously.
She looked towards the forest and noticed that the bushes were moving. Someone was indeed watching them.
"I will go and check, you stay here"
Estacia said moving out of the water but Lerin grab hold of her hand.
"I understand if you are fearless but sometimes it can truly be dangerous."
Lerin said with a worried look.
"Don't worry, I won't leave my one and only friend behind nor let her get hurt."
Estacia comforted Lerin with a smile.
Lerin let go, giving up on convincing this optimistic soul.
Now that Estacia walked towards the forest, she realized that she was all alone.
She was quite alarmed, even her hair had turned into a blend of the beautiful colors of the forest while the color of her eyes turned into a combination of yellow and light green with a hint of pink in them.
Suddenly there were a pair of eyes twinkling behind the bushes, then the creature came out and charged straight into Estacia like a streak of lightning.
Unfortunately for it, Estacia was faster and grab a hold of it,
"Good try little bug, turns out the thing that was scaring Lerin was just a- Estacia looked down expecting the creature to be a bug but her expectations were crushed in just a second.
"A fairy?!"
She screamed.
"A teenzy weenzy fairy! With pink hair and blue eyes?
So cute!! But I thought fairies did not exist did they? Are you just a creature from other island? Awww poor thing you must be lost, but how come you look so different? I guess your name is Estacia too! And is-mph!"
The fairy covered Estacia's mouth with her tiny hands in attempt to stop her from talking.
"Well, for starters, why don't you shut your mouth."
The fairy said coldly.
"That was mean. Well you are not as kind as you look."
Estacia said pouting.
"Is that so? Then may I know how exactly am I supposed to talk to someone who just captured me."
"Well you were the one spying on me and my friend, we thought you were an animal or something."
Estacia answered flawlessly, paying no mind to what the fairy was saying.
"Animal? Did you just say animal! Why I never. How dare you! A beauty like me doesn't even deserve to be near an animal!"
The sassy fairy said.
"wow, fairies are so full of themselves."
Estacia said with an expression on her face that said 'Not interested at all'
"I am not just a mere fairy! I am the prettiest fairy in the world. Some even wish to ferion with me."
The fairy bragged.
"What's ferion?"
Estacia asked confused.
"My! What world are you living in? Or perhaps you are someone from stone-age. Ferion means face copying. You choose the person you want to copy your face with, ask them if they are okay with it and then after the copying is done using Erio magic-"Hold up, hold up. What is with the face changing and finding a person and stuff?"
"Ugh! Were you even listening to what I was saying?"
The fairy groaned.
"I am sorry but all this knowledge at once is a little too much for my slow paced mind. In addition to that, I am stuck in this island ever since I was born, so I barely have any idea about the way the things work in other islands."
"Wow. That is quite unfortunate. Speaking of which, I didn't get your name?"
The fairy said with a pitiful look.
"I see, we didn't have a proper introduction. I am Estacia, what might your name be? Maybe a fairy like name?"
"Actually I do, my name is Sherwind. I am born with extreme speed which is one of the reasons why my people named me Sherwind." (Sherwind)
"People? Don't you have parents?" (Estacia)
"No. We fairies are born from elements. I am born from the element called the flowers' scent. There are more elements, considerably millions of them and the fairies that are born from them even have the abilities of those elements. I am born from flowers' scent which proclaims that I am both beautiful and fast. However, this is a common element. Some elements are very rare and many are even extinct."
Sherwind explained thoroughly while Estacia listened in awe.
"I didn't know that there was such a tedious history behind fairies."
Then suddenly Estacia exclaimed and said,
"Speaking of which! We should go meet my friend she must be worried."
"Wait a second"
Sherwind pondered then
"What! I told you all about myself! Oh no. What did I do. Wait. Just pretend you don't know me, that's all!"
Sherwind realized what she just did and panicked.
"Woah there fairy. Hold up. I am not someone who spreads secrets you know. And even if I do say that I saw a fairy, no-one will believe me. They already think I am weird physically but if I say that then I will also be framed weird mentally." (Estacia)
"However, my friend might believe it. Her name is Lerin, so let's go and meet her." (Estacia)
"Nu-uh, no can do, I am not supposed to show others who I am. They must never be aware of my existence."
Sherwind said but Estacia had already moved forward.
"Hey! You coming or what?" (Estacia)
"yeah, of course she wouldn't listen."
Sherwind sighed.
As for Estacia, not only was she wondering how Lerin would react after seeing Sherwind (They both kind of have the same attitude in Estacia's perspective) but also the thing about Ferion. She was wondering if she could do it too. How amazing would it be to not have her weird appearance is what she thought.
Sadly, she doesn't know how amazing her appearance is. We all know that once someone says the words ' something is wrong with your appearance', you forever think that your appearance is weird or try to solve the problem.
Estacia wanted to ask Sherwind about it and turned around to call her but out of the blue, Sherwind disappeared.
"Sherwind? Where are you?"
Estacia called out but there was no reply.
Where did she go? Did she go back? Estacia thought.
"Hey Estacia! What took you so long? I got worried."
Lerin a familiar face called out to Estacia from afar.
Estacia had almost reached where Lerin was but wondering where Sherwind went.
Maybe she went back to her island? (Estacia)
Lerin ran to Estacia and asked where Estacia went. Estacia on the other hand lied that the creature was indeed an animal for she didn't feel right to tell Lerin about Sherwind's existence.
While Estacia and Lerin talked. Estacia felt someone's presence yet again. However this one didn't feel like Sherwind's. She looked around the woods only to find that there was no-one there.
Suddenly something came out of the wood. An arrow. It was shot straight to Lerin's direction.
