Chapter 15: Warmth growing Colder / Escape from the Villainous Battle
"Take this Leon...Please stay safe, eat regularly and remember to stay warm ok?" Mum wrapped a scarf around me and kissing me on the forehead.
"I was going to give you this when we returned home, but I guess this is the last time I'll see you. I love you, and I approve your choices on my daughter in law" She winked her eye at me. I sniffle and roll my eyes as she was indicating to Emilia. Wiping my falling tears, she just had to ruin this moment.
"When you look at your wings remember me..." She brought her wings out and could only think 'beautiful'. It was coloured black, yet I could see a a spectrum amount of colours. It had soft and intricate skin, while I looked even more, she caressed my wings.
"Don't let your wings remind you of the bad things. But let it remind you of your worth. If they are this big and your still here, then you are the bravest boy I know...come and give your mum a hug..."
(A/N: Reference to his wing description. How she knows this, is there can be different type of wings and she recognised his wings)
I carried myself closer to her. I brought my face to her shoulder and wrapped my arms around her. The warmth I was holding was growing colder.
I was a mess now, tears coming down my face, I made an ugly face as I didn't want her to leave. I trembled into a loop of anguish, and pain. Switching between the two, my view of the world blurred.
"Don't cry and remember to smile...ok?" Weeping, I could barely stifle a nod as my world was braking and halting to stop. She weakly wiped the tears from my eyes.
My world was dying.
I couldn't do anything again.
Heartbeats were flatlining.
I could only cherish the hug like a lifeline.
"I love you..." She whispered to me for the final time.
My warmth disappeared...

I fidgeted, hopefully Mary's all right. I looked at Selene, she couldn't handle this if I go. I thought for bit before deciding to cast a powerful defence to buy me some time.
I prepare myself whilst dodging the fireballs, but also careful not to dodge one going for the kids. They're only going to hinder us if this keeps going.
Especially that girl on the platform. I signal Selene to help me rescue her.

Ice flashed over everything accept me, Selene and the kids. I rush to the girl and snap the rope and carry her outta there. The witch's statue was creaking, I better hurry.
"Kids?...Can you go into one of the shops, it's about to get a little rough. Ok?" They could only nod as I could see the shine from the sweat on them as they shook nervously. Maybe I should've done this earlier.
I watch them scuttle to the nearest shop along side their friend, and hide behind the counter. Now that they're safe, lets get ready to rumble!!!
"AAAARRRGGGGHHHHHHHH"
Mary could hear my outburst and quickly evaded the flames coming from the breaking ice statue, and dashed behind me.
Clusters of earth uprooted and flung itself to the scarlet witch. I kept throwing, and throwing. The village was getting more and more damaged, but who would live here if there dead so I guess it's fine. Running out of ammunition? Answer: Houses!!!
Clusters of earth the size of houses and the occasional house was flung at the scarlet witch.
"And for good measure..." I punched the ground and watched it break apart and create a sinkhole and watch her ice statue fell in.
The tiger of flames was now falling apart and disappearing. I released the villagers from the dome, I didn't see their reaction as it not the for it yet.
"Selene, I'm going to check up on Mary" I receive a nod as she goes to the kids.

"Darling?..."
My eyes widen with bloodshot, my hairs stood up and a rage I haven't felt in a while awoke in me.
At looked at my son sobbing over Mary as they were both drenched with blood. My son looked over to me with tears...
I walked out of his sight. My stomach retched and I vomited. I couldn't let his see me like this. Leaning on the wall, I bash my head against it with frustration.

I looked at my son who tugged at the hem of my shirt with his tiny hands. Tears dropped from my face I hadn't known I was there and let it all out when I saw him. I hugged him and lifted him up.
She left us both, not just me. I have to be strong, though I can never let anyone refill the love from you, I will move on. And hopefully I'll meet you again someday.
From the distance I hear rumbling. Fortunately she's still alive...
I'm going to destroy that bitch.
I put my son down and caress his hair.

I press yes instantly. Pain erupted through my eyes, I clutched them out of reflex. The others looked at me with caution as my girls rushed to check on me.

I sighed. Though it's nice to be looked after with such cute girls, it unfortunately doesn't take away the pain. Especially the future pain which might come from a beat down with a certain glaring blonde.
Swarming my eyes with piercing pain, it felt like ants eating it again and again. The process only took a few seconds, but it felt like...a few seconds. It was painful, but it wasn't like I was sinking into the depths of hell that made me felt like I was there for ages, it was bearable.
"I'm fine, look" I uncover my eyes and show them my newly acquired eyes, they were mesmerised with my red eyes and circling comma.

The rumbling was now getting louder, and a gunshot sounded from afar. At the same time, the man arrived and the woman raised out of the sinkhole. The maid panicked and shout at us pointing to the way the man came from.
"Run! Run! Don't look back! I need to help him take her down, so go!" And so we did, we ran and ran...
