Chapter 1: _1_I Owe Him
-Hiro POV
This morning I was a little late because I still up until 3:00 am watching movies to get inspiration for my project of the day after tomorrow.
I was in a hurry, so I bumped into someone. That was the last thing I would imagine myself doing. I was on top of the messy hair weirdo, our faces were so close that our noses almost touched, I can feel her heartbeats, her eyes were something, like drowning without realizing.
Suddenly she spoke'' emm... I ...you... heavy…please ...get up'' with her face all red tomato I started smirking like a devil and stand up.
I lent her my hand to get up but she didn't take it, that was a little embarrassing but she stand there with her head bowed and excused, actually it was my fault, it was me who supposed to apology.
I started running, while she was still standing bowed, I wanted to tease her '' Hey… Classmate you're late too... Don't stand there like a fool... the gate will be closed soon... you can express your apology when we are inside...hahaha'' Actually this incident made my day.
I wonder why I felt happy just for seeing her cute red face, anyway she started running too and we made it at time. She started panting and laughing and so I. She approached me and smiled ''i'm Yurika Shiba.. they call me Yuri'' and she bowed. what is it with this habit of bowing all the time, she's too polite.
''So, they call you Yuri, then I prefer Rika, so I'll just go with it, call me Hiro…and you don't need to be so polite around me …cause after all you are from now on my girlfriend... Don't think too much, I don't like girls, I just need someone like you to be my shield so those useless girls won't come near me''
She was at a loss of word'' But...but... i'm a girl too... and… why ...''
I interrupted '' you should complain about making you my girlfriend so suddenly and not if you're a girl or not… what a weirdo!!...from now on, no buts and no whys you just do whatever I say, ...and you don't look like girls with that style'' and I smirked waiting for her response as she asks weird questions, I really wanted to provoke her.
She tilted her head as if she finally realized the situation '' Sorry I didn't mean to be weird... it's just i'm not used to others talking to me so openly, ...and it looks like insulting ...euh... can I ask more question?'' I nodded, then she looked troubled'' we are already late... Can we head now to the classroom?'' and she looked down.
I have never seen someone like her, I thought she would be angry or shout on my face, but unfortunately, she was the opposite, so I just said '' just take it as a compliment because ordinary girls makes me angry '' and I nodded then we hurried to the classroom.
'I think this year will be interesting because of this girl around, i'm eager to know how it will end', I said to myself while looking to her running in front of me.
-Yurika POV
I was looking to this branch with that lonely flower suddenly someone bumped into me. It was him the boy with weird looks, our noses almost touched he was on top of me, I was so embarrassed and I could feel the heat in my cheeks, my heart is about to explode , I felt his breath on my upper lip, I have to say something he was gazing at me like if he reads right through me.
''emm... I... you... heavy… please ...get up'' I started stuttering like a 3 years old kid. Why it's him, I was scared of him yesterday, he must notice that. But maybe he doesn't even remember me, I have to compose myself he lent me his hand but I didn't have the courage to take it.
I just stand on my own and bowed to express my apology to him he suddenly started running and shouted at me '' Hey... Classmate you're late too… don't stand there like a fool ...the gate will be closed soon... you can express your apology when we are inside... hahaha'' he talked to me and called me classmate he remembered me , I was kind of happy but why?"
"I'm ...C... Coming''
After we got in, I was panting hard and started to laugh forgetting his existence and started thinking 'He could be a nice boy, his smile and eyes were melting, even if his appearance is somehow a little scary'. Oops... He was staring again; I smiled at him and cleared my throat.
''i'm Yurika Shiba... they call me Yuri'' and i bowed.
Then he replied with an arrogant but still a welcoming look ''So they call you Yuri, then I prefer Rika, so I'll just go with it, call me Hiro... and you don't need to be so polite around me ..cause after all you are now my girlfriend...don't think too much , I don't like girls, I just need someone like you to be my shield so those useless girls won't come near me''
'Rika?! this is the 1st time someone call me like my father was doing...Woah!!... wait a minute did he say girlfriend ...but how can I answer him and also he did say that he dislikes girls ...so what am I in his eyes...'
this is not the time to overthink I have to say something '' But… but... I'm a girl too...and... why ...'' oah!! I said the last thing crossed my mind ...now he must think that I'm some kind of stupid girls with an IQ of a 3 Years old kid

Somehow I felt he was right and I felt a little sad.
'' Sorry I didn't mean to be weird... it's just I'm not used to others talking to me so openly, ...and it looks like insulting ...euh... can I ask more question?''. He nodded;
I was hit by the idea of being late so I decided to drop the subject'' we are already late...Can we head now to the classroom?'' As if he noticed his words effect on me, I started gazing at my feet, then I looked at him when he spoke
'' just take it as a compliment because ordinary girls makes me angry '', and he Nodded, I muttered under my breath while looking down'' how can you say it that way and still make me feel happy'' then we started running again towards classroom.
I don't know what it's gotten into me but i can't stop thinking of his sharp eyes and mysterious looks, what is he thinking or why he hates girls or why he thinks I'm different and why me being his girlfriend??... a lot of questions without answers popped in my head because of this I couldn't focus and that was so unusual of me.
I was hit by the sudden question and my name spelled out from the teacher's mouth.'' Shiba san, can you answer the question?'' shoot ...what was the question.., then I suddenly hear a hushed voice behind me '' it's Kyoto city, just say it '' and I said it.
The teacher said ''that's good I thought you were absent minded but you're right as usual , you guys should start learning from her and stop sleeping during my class'' then the teacher returned to his desk and start reading the book louder. If it wasn't for the voice behind, I might be scolded, then a hand from behind put a paper on my desk. 'you owe me one 'bleeeh' : p , stop daydreaming you're lucky this time because I was from Kyoto or else I'm bad at this kind of subjects'
It was him again, I'm grateful for his help, but I wanted to shout him inside my mind, so that I stop thinking about what happened this morning.
But I have to thank him after the class ends.
After the bell rang, girls started to gather at the windows and doors to see how does it look the newcomer, luckily our handsome monitor managed to drive them away. when I turned to speak to him, one of the boys came and asked him to play a basketball game after school. He nodded and dismissed the boy saying he wants to sleep for a while before the next class. Then he reverted his fierce looks to me as if saying don't bother me, and puts his headphones on then shut his eyes.
I started muttering annoyed by his act '' hem... It would be better if your eyes are always shut, you cold handsome boy'' Then I turned to my books.
Bell Rang...*ding dang dong*
'Euuh!! finally this day ends I have to hurry to my part time job, before that bunch of bullies come to bully me again', actually yesterday I was bullied by a girl and two boys, her boyfriend and his companion, and that caused me trouble at my part time job because of being late.
I started packing my bag. I heard a tired voice yawning behind me I almost forgot to thank him, so I turned to face him.
'' emm... Thank you for what you did before, I have to go now... so see you ... tomorrow'' but while turning he grabbed my hand and said'' wait for me, we didn't finish our early talk we can do it on our way back home''
what the hell was he planning , I don't know what was he thinking, but I declined because I was in a hurry, '' sorry ..we can talk later.. I have a part time job; I'll get scolded if I'm late again'' then I hurried to the hallway.
When I almost reached the school front Gate, I heard their laughter coming from the back yard, they were approaching, i didn't know what to do, I was hell scared and started panicking, suddenly ... a dark shadow appeared in front of me then someone wrapped his hands around me and covered my face in his chest.
