Chapter 3: Chapter 3 - Emergency in space
"No Dad, you are the leader of this country. You should be the first person to survive." said Shen with a little anxious voice. She does not want her father to die. "Yes Mr. President, we all agree with General Shen". All three Generals said in unison. "No, you four are the strongest of this country. You should be the ones to survive. I do not want to hear anything else. The spaceship is ready to launch and will start its journey in 10 minutes. Please board the ship." saying this, President was about to leave the room but was stopped by Shen. "No Dad, how can you do this. How can i live on thinking my father died instead of me". "Shen, Dad wants you to survive. Which parent will want to survive themselves leaving their children to die? I am glad i was able to see you reaching the ranks of General. I am so proud that i cannot express it with words. Just go with them and live." said President with a smile on his face. He patted Shen on her head and took his leave.
"Let's not waste time. These are Mr. President's order. We should immediately board the ship and initiate the process of launch". After saying this, all four of them went to the field where spaceship was placed. All four of them boarded the spaceship. After a few minutes time, the spaceship started its launch and officially started its journey towards the unknown planet. Seeing the spaceship launching and going away, a trace of pain was there in Mr. President's eyes. But he was glad that he was able to save Shen from this disaster.
In Space
All four Generals were sitting on their seats. None of them have any expression of relief that they were able to survive this catastrophe. "If i could meet with that chief scientist, i would hang him up upside down and punish him on behalf of all the people of the planet" said General Sean with a gloomy face. Who could have thought that this cheerful person can one day be angered to this extent. "What is the point of all this now General Sean. We cannot do anything about this now" General Pomp said this with a painful expression. "We are now far from our family and friends. We will not be able to meet them in the future. This is our destiny and we cannot change this. We have to accept this and move on" as the most experienced person among four, General Pomp's thoughts were different from other three.
For the next one and a half hour none of them spoke anything. They were just sitting there with different expressions and thoughts in their mind. Shen kept thinking about her father and about his sacrifice. She did not know what she can do now. After about twenty five minutes later, she looked outside in the space. She saw that a large amount of space debris was ahead of them. "Hey, there is a large amount of space debris ahead. I am afraid we will collide with them." as she said this, everyone started to look outside in space. There are special binoculars present on the spaceship using which one can see their path ahead. "I will take manual control of the spaceship. You all keep on looking outside to see for other dangers." General Pomp said this and went into the cockpit of the spaceship.
By the time General Pomp took control of the spaceship, they were already in the middle of the debris. He started avoiding all the debris that he could but some rocks still were able to hit the spaceship. "If this goes on, i am afraid the spaceship will not be able to hold on any longer and will crash" General Pomp said this with a look of impatience. At this moment, even the most experienced person who was calm all the way was far from calm.
"How long would it take to get out of this mess?" asked General Ghrowl, who was silent till now throughout the journey. "It will take nearly 10 minutes, but if the situation that we are in now continues, i am afraid that the spaceship will burst open within 8 minutes" as General Pomp said this, he was still trying to avoid everything that he could. "Tie me up with the spaceship. I will go outside and smash as many as of these rocks as possible so that we can get out of this mess safely" said Ghrowl while attaching himself with the tethers. "Yes, i will also go outside. General Ghrowl can go to the left and i will go towards the right of the spaceship. This will give us some more time to get out this situation. General Sean, you should remain inside the spaceship to assist us whenever required" as she said this, Shen always attached herself to tethers.
