Chapter 31: Shopping 4
He had never liked or disliked shopping. In fact this was his first time entering a few stores and buying something for himself. It has always been his mother who would buy anything that she thought was necessary to him.
He thus never got any chance to enter these stores like any normal man would. That is the reason, he did not know what to buy and what not to. Hence he simply bought whatever caught his or Jiang Xiurong's eyes.
That is his way of doing things in other situations and hence he decided to follow it here too as he does not have any experience in shopping or any other stuff that are related to girls either.
Jiang Xiurong was shocked when she heard his words. So has it always been him trying to accommodate her and not the other way round? In the end it was all because of some lack of communication? He thought that she would like shopping and she thought the same about him.
Hence both decided to stay mum and follow the other without hurting the feelings of the other? Something warm generated in her heart when she realized that he was so enthusiastic about being with her more than in what action they were together.
Her lips curved upwards and slowly she chuckled and then turned into some laughter. Her laughter was contagious as Wang Deming too joined her and both laughed along with each other.
They both halted soon and Jiang Xiurong took lead in asking, "Then, what should we do now?" Since both of them were not huge fans of shopping, then maybe they should now discuss things and do something that both of them would like doing.
Wang Deming looked around for a while and then turned back to her to reply, "Since we are already in the shopping district, let us do some shopping. But this time, which we would like to do."
Jiang Xiurong looked at him in confusion. What would they like to shop? Looking at her confused expression which looked cute with her brows cutely scrunching up, Wang Deming neared her ear and whispered softly, "How about looking around for swords?"
Jiang Xiurong's eyes widened as they now glistened with stars shining the best with anticipation. This was the first time Wang Deming had seen her being so excited for something and he felt happy that he could at least predict one thing that she would like without her telling him anything.
When he fought her the previous time, he knew that she was very well trained. No trained person would hate to search for swords. Instead they would love the task. He just tried once if she would be the same too and his try was successful.
Now looking at Jiang Xiurong, he also realized his mistake. How did he think that she would be the same as other normal girls? He had always known that she was special, yet when the time came, he treated her like any other girl.
It is in fact not much difficult to guess that she may not like shopping or such girly habits. She has always been different and special. Isn't that the reason why he wanted to marry her immediately? Now that he got her, he had forgotten her special character? It is really worth giving himself a few negative points.
He finally realized how wrong he has been in treating her all this time. He should remember that she was different from others and not treat her like other women. She would not even say that she did not like something for his sake. Hence he should be more careful in observing her.
Jiang Xiurong felt that she was a bit too excited and tried to converge her feelings a little while also trying to deny by shaking her head. But Wang Deming had already seen through her and did not buy her act as he said, "There is no need for you to hide your likes from me."
Now that he finally understood that Jiang Xiurong likes swords, then without any delay he took her to the place where the best of the swords were made in the capital.
The owner of the place looked at Wang Deming and Jiang Xiurong entering and immediately stood up from his seat and bowed with respect while greeting, "Fifth Prince, Princess Jiang."
Wang Deming nodded his head while the shopkeeper asked, "Fifth Prince, what do you want to see? Tell me and I will get you the best ones out."
He looked at him and asked, "Best ones? Do you have some other best swords that were not on the display here?"
Shopkeeper nodded his head and Wang Deming spoke, "Then show me the best swords that you have got while we will check the ones on the display here."
The shopkeeper nodded his head enthusiastically and ran inside to fetch his best of the best swords that he had made.
