Chapter 5: Chapter 4: School Life in a New World
On the way to his class Akira was excited, he started walking as fast as he could to get to there, to see what it was like. Then suddenly, someone walked out of one of the rooms, but because Akira wasn't concentrating properly, he didn't realise that someone was in front of him then all of a sudden ...
BANG
Akira had bashed into the person and they were now both lying on the floor in the middle of the hallway. Akira sat up and looked around, there were papers lying all over the floor but luckily there was no one else in the hallway. Akira stood up and went over to the other person that was lying on the floor, Akira looked at the persons face and to his surprise it was a girl! She had long blond hair, she wasn't very tall, but she was very beautiful. At first, he was shocked, but he sucked it up and shook her lightly to make her wake up.
After a short time, the girl started to regain consciousness, when she fully opened her eyes, she saw Akira right above her, she was shocked at first, so she suddenly sat up and said, "What are you doing!?"
Akira said "S-Sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going, and I accidentally hit into you in the hallway".
She then said, "How long have I been here for?"
Akira looked to his watch and said, "maybe about 5 minutes".
She then asked, "I should have had some papers when I left the room, where are they?"
Akira said, "They got scattered all over the place, so I picked them up for you", he then passed the pile of papers back to her.
The girl was still very confused as she had just regained consciousness, but she leaned forwards and started trying to stand up, after a little struggle she was standing up. Akira also stood up, he then suddenly bowed over and said, "I-I'm very sorry for not looking where I was going, I was just very excited to start my first class. My name is Hajime Akira, I-I hope you can forgive me".
The girl looked at Akira and sighed, she then said, "Fine ill forgive you this time, just watch where you are going next time. My name is Historia Ena, I need to get going now".
Akira, still bowing over, said, "T-Thank you for forgiving me!"
After she had walked away, Akira started thinking to himself, "Historia is a really high-class name, I had never heard of anyone with a name like that back in my old world, could she be foreign or maybe she is linked to royalty?". After thinking for a while, Akira realised that he was over 15 minutes late for his first lesson, he then started going as fast as he could while still watching in front of him to his class.
When Akira arrived at his class, he stopped for a moment before entering, when he opened the door to the classroom, he had to cover his eyes for a moment, it was almost as if a bright light was emerging from the inside of the classroom. When he walked into the classroom the teacher said, "You are almost 20 minutes past the start time of the class, what is your name?"
Akira anxiously said, "I-I'm sorry for being late, my name is Hajime Akira".
The teachers started looking at a piece of paper and wrote something down then she said, "My name is Ichinose Chikako, I will be your teacher for this first year so you can call me sensei. Now take a seat in that chair at the back near the window."
Akira said," Ok". He then looked over to the seat where he was meant to be sitting, but when he passed by the person sitting at the table next to him, he had to look back again. The person sitting next to him was Ena! Akira looked at Ena, Ena then turned around and saw Akira, both of them were surprised they said "Huh" almost in sync.
The teacher then told Akira to hurry and sit down. So, he went to his seat and sat down, as soon as he sat down, he looked outside of the window to his left and he saw the school building in its entirety and some buildings outside on the outside of the school's perimeter, most of the buildings were big and had amazing designs, they were nothing like that of the world where he used to live.
Akira then looked around at the rest of the classroom, there were about 15 people in the class including him, he thought so himself "There aren't many people in this class, maybe there could be more classes? There were a lot more people in the welcoming ceremony". After a while of thinking, the teacher suddenly started to talk, so he shook his head slightly then started to focus on the class.
The teacher said, "You all will be educated at this school for 2 years. In those two years we will be teaching you about lots of things that you will need for the future and for right now. You will learn about activating, controlling, and using your powers, the risks that come with being a raider and what you should do in certain situations. This is just a short explanation and not everything that we will be covering in your two years here".
The teacher continued to speak for about an hour, during that whole time Akira was sitting there on the edge of his seat, what everyone else in this class knew as common knowledge was completely different for him, he was so exited he wanted to scream. When the teacher finished talking Akira felt kind of sad as he wanted to stay there for longer, but he did have a whole two years left so he shook it off.
The teacher then told the class that they were allowed to leave and that they would come back to school again tomorrow at 9am. Akira was the last one to leave the classroom, he reached for the door handle without any hesitation and grasped it firmly, he waited a second then swung the door open and walked through it. As he was going through the door, he thought to himself, "This is going to be fun…".
