Chapter 14: Mysterious Man
Rem sensed someone following her. Rem walked to the staircase and stopped.
"Hey, come out. It's rude to stalk people." Rem said without lowering her guard.
'That person is really strong.., Maybe around level 200.'
After a while, a mysterious man with a black top hat appeared out of the shadows at the corner of the empty hall.
"How did you sense me?" The man asked.
"Who are you and why were you following me?" Rem asked, ignoring the man's question.
"Avoiding my question I see. Oh well, I guess it's alright. That was rude of me. Let me introduce myself. My name is Nor." The man said while bowing.
"I didn't ask for your name."
"It's our first time meeting so of course, I would have to tell you my name."
"Whatever, get to your point already. I don't have all day."
"Yes, yes. I just followed you because I find you interesting."
"Pardon?"
"I mean, you were the only one who walked out of the door without registering." The man said, shrugging.
"Seriously?" Rem said, doubting the man.
"That's right."
"Then what do you want from me?"
"I want you to register to take the faction guild test."
"Why should I?"
"I want to see your abilities. Obviously, your stats are being hidden. Even I cannot see your real stats."
"That's your problem. Goodbye. I won't be taking the tests. Try to convince me if you can." Rem said while walking up towards the second floor.
"Wait. Tomorrow, after your classes, meet me in room IR1. I'll think of a way to convince you."
"Alright. Just make sure you are not late."
"Of course."
The man disappeared into the shadows and left. Rem went to the library.
'Time to go grinding some more.'
Activating the teleportation stone, Rem teleported to the place she was reborn in. She found out that the place she was reborn in was near the Dark Forest. Apparently, the Dark Forest is very dangerous and has a lot of strong monsters. There was a high chance for Rem to die because she was near the Forest but thankfully Rem didn't go into the Dark Forest. Today, Rem decided to go fight some monsters in the Dark Forest. Before going inside the forest, Rem checked her stats.
