Chapter 50: Greatest Team
Rem grabbed a registration paper. She read what was on the paper.
[Tournament Registration Paper
Registrations can be handed in anytime from 7-5 p.m. This will continue till the end of this week. To join the tournament, you will need any 5 students who are currently in this school. You will create or join a team. You may decide what your team name and leader is. After filling in all these below, you'll have to hand this to the Student Council President.

"Remie, do you have a pen I can borrow?" Karina asked.
"Here." Rem took a pen from her backpack and handed it to Karina.
Karina took the pen and the registration paper from Rem.
"You two want to join this team as well, correct?" Karina raised her right brow.
"Yes please!" Yukino answered happily.
Karina faced Yukio and Yukio nodded.
"Alright. I'll put your names here then..." Karina said, writing down their names.
'What was that shadow I saw on that day..?' Kaito wondered as he was walking to the Student Council room.
'They're the two girls from earlier!' Kaito thought, walking towards them.
'Someone's coming towards us...' Rem sensed someone's presence behind them and became alerted.
"Who would be the 5th member of our team?" Yukino asked.
"We're not sure yet..." Rem replied, trying to think of someone suitable for being the 5th member of their team while still being on guard.
"Good afternoon." Kaito greeted the group and smiled politely.
"Good afternoon." Rem, Karina, and Yukino said at the same time.
'He's quite strong...' Rem thought, looking at Kaito.
Yukio bowed slightly.
'This girl from earlier... Her aura's something I've never sensed before. I know she's extremely strong and... Mysterious...' Kaito was curious about who Rem was.
While he was walking towards the group, Kaito overheard what the girls were discussing.
"I heard what you were discussing earlier. I apologize if I seem nosy. May I become the 5th member of your group? I would like to join you." Kaito asked, smiling.
'His smile is so fake...' Rem thought, sensing that Kaito had some intentions behind his words.
Although Rem knew Kaito did have some intentions, Rem could sense that his intentions weren't bad.
"Really??? You'll join?" Karina was surprised how someone like the principal's son would join their team.
"Yes, of course!" Kaito said, continuing to smile.
"If you want to join, stop with your fake smiles. It's displeasing to look at..." Rem never liked people who put up a fake smile.
Kaito was surprised.
'How did she know..?' Kaito wondered.
'Nobody has called my smile... Fake..!' Kaito became more interested in Rem.
"Pfttt! You're amusing... Alright, alright..! If I stop smiling fakely... May I join your team?" Kaito asked.
'Hmmm...' Rem inspected Kaito's stats.

'He's a fire element user... He'll be useful. What're those question marks..? Weird...' Rem faced Kaito.
"Do you guys want him to join?" Rem asked the other team members.
"Of course!" Karina said, not expecting someone like Kaito to join them.
"It's an honor!!!" Yukino said excitedly.
Yukio agreed by nodding.
"You may join... However, you will have to listen to us." Rem didn't want someone who wouldn't take things seriously on the team.
"Alright." Kaito nodded.
Karina added Kaito's name on the registration paper.
"Who's going to be the leader of this team?" Yukino asked.
"Obviously, Rem. I'm telling you, she's really strong!" Karina said, feeling proud to be Rem's friend.
"Yes, Rem seems strong. I agree with letting her be the team leader." Kaito sensed that Rem was strong and was curious about her abilities.
Yukio nodded.
"Alright..." Rem agreed.
Karina wrote Rem on the registration paper as the team leader.
"All that's left is the name... What name should we call our team? I can't think of anything good." Rem sighed.
"I can't think of anything either..." Yukino said.
Yukio shook his head from left to right, showing that he also couldn't think of a good name.
"Me neither... Naming things aren't my thing." Kaito shrugged.
"How about we name our team, Ver? Ver, as in, version. Our team can be the new version of success..! We'll definitely win this tournament and become first!!!" Karina said confidently.
"Sure." Rem said.
"I like that name!" Yukino smiled happily.
"Sounds cool." Kaito agreed.
Yukio nodded.
"Then our team will be called Ver! It's decided!!!" Karina wrote our team name on the registration paper and handed the paper to Rem after finishing writing everything down.
"The Student Council President is right in front of us." Rem said, not taking the paper.
"Oh, right..! Haha, I almost forgot." Karina handed the registration paper to Kaito.
"Thank you. I just have to add the stamp on this paper and it'll be approved and our team will be official." Kaito took the paper from Karina.
Rem took a glance at the registration paper.

'Good... I need to see what they can do first..!' Rem thought.
"When are you all free?" Rem asked.
"I'm basically free any time..." Karina replied.
"Yukio and I are free any time as well!" Yukino answered.
"I'm free at lunch... I have meetings and work to do after school... I can get a few days off and let the Student Council Vice President do all the work while I'm away. During Winter Break, I have time from the morning till 3 in the afternoon." Kaito said.
"Alright then. Starting tomorrow, we'll meet up at lunch right next to the cafeteria's entrance. Is that fine?" Rem wanted to test all of their skills.
"Mhm," Karina said.
"Yep!" Yukino said as Yukio nodded.
"Don't be late..!" Rem said, looking at Kaito.
"I-I won't be late! Don't worry..." Kaito stuttered, unaware of why Rem looked at him like that.
*Ringgg!
"See you." Rem said to Kaito as Karina and the twins said goodbye to Kaito and walked next to Rem, walking towards their next class since lunch has ended.
