Chapter 58: Roy's Evolution
When Rem left the Arena, she could sense a few people following her.
'Urg... How bothersome...' Rem sighed.
She walked to a dark ally where there weren't any people there.
"Come out." Rem said in a cold tone, sounding annoyed.
Suddenly, 7 men appeared and surrounded Rem. The men wore plain, dirty clothes.
'They probably came to me for the items...' Rem thought.
"Hand over all your things!" One of the men said, pointing his knife at Rem.
'They must have thought they could steal the items I got from the Arena tournament from me...' Rem thought, laughing softly.
"Why are you laughing???" Another one of the men asked, a little angered.
"Pfttt... Do you have any brain cells?" Rem could tell that the men who were following her were idiots.
'I'm ranked 1st in the tournament so they should know that I'm quite strong.' Rem's brows furrowed.
"WHAT??!" The man who had a beard yelled.
"We'll do anything to get those items... Even if we have to kill you!!!" The men charged at Rem, trying to stab her with their knives.
'They're messing with the wrong person!' Rem thought, activating her Void skill.
A huge dark void appeared beneath the men's feet. The men didn't know what has happened. They couldn't even scream. They were just swallowed by the void.
'Now that this is taken care of, I can finally go back to my dorm room in peace.' Rem turned back to her usual look and continued to walk towards her dorm room, taking her time.
After around 10 minutes, Rem arrived at her dorm room.
"Kiii!" Roy flew towards Rem.
"I finally got the materials you need to evolve..!" Rem smiled.
"KIII!!!" Roy jumped up and down.
"Yeah, yeah. I got it..! Here." Rem gave Roy the materials.
Roy grabbed the materials and swallowed them.
"Why did you swallow these? Do they even taste good? Was that even necessary..?" Rem asked.
"Kiii! Kiii..!" Roy nodded, munching on the materials.
"Alright... I just hope you don't evolve into a huge lizard..." Rem told Roy.
"KIII!" Roy pouted.

Roy was then surrounded by a bright red light. After a while, the light faded. Roy has successfully evolved.
'What... He looks the same as before..!' Rem thought, disappointed that Roy didn't become a cool dragon but at the same time, she was relieved since she didn't want a huge dragon who would probably destroy all of the girl's dorms and attract a lot of attention.
"You didn't change at all... Your horns are slightly larger but your appearance didn't change..." Rem was disappointed.
"I wanted to see a huge, cool dragon... You're good like this I guess. Being too large isn't good. It will cause a lot of problems if you grow bigger..!"
"KIII!"
"Yeah, yeah. You're kind of cool right now." Rem admitted.
Meanwhile, at the boy's dorms...
'What was that..?' A boy wondered, peeking out of his dorm room's window.
'The light came from that same spot! I'm pretty sure I saw a dark shadow figure go through one of the girl's dorm room's window over there. The light also came from that same window! Should I look at who's in that dorm room..?' The boy thought about it for a bit.
'I'm busy right now... I'll check what's going on later.' The boy went back to work.
'Tomorrow I'll have to meet up with the group. Roy can't just stay in this room forever...' Rem had to figure out a way for Roy to get some exercise.
"Kiii!" Roy flapped his wings.
"Hm... I mean, I guess you are old enough.' Rem said, inspecting Roy's stats.

"Kiii!" Roy nodded excitedly.
Rem called Karasu out.
"How may I help you?" Karasu asked, appearing in front of Rem.
"Roy wants to live in the forest... I want you to look after Roy. He's still young and inexperienced after all. Stay with him at all times and report to me daily about what he's doing. If he's endangered or you find something that would kill him, notify me immediately." Rem said sternly.
"Understood," Karasu replied.
"Don't get yourself in trouble!" Rem waved.
"Kiii!" Roy nodded and activated his invisibility skill then he flew off.
Karasu flew next to Roy. Although Roy was invisible, Karasu could see him since Karasu is something Rem created and because Roy was life bonded with Rem. The bonding made it so Rem and Roy's presence feel similar.
'Tomorrow's going to be a long day... Why do I feel like a mom who just saw her child grow up..? Geez...' Rem sighed tiredly.
