Chapter 64: Worried
"Are you okay..?" Yukino asked worriedly.
"I'm fine..." Rem furrowed her brows.
"You don't seem fine to me..." Yukino muttered.
"Remie, you should go rest..! Don't overwork yourself!" Karina scolded Rem.
"The infirmary is on the first floor to the right side of the school building. In other words, it's located towards the East of this school." Kaito said.
"I'm really fine... I just had a small headache. I'm fine now. This is nothing." Rem stated.
"Hm... Alright..!" Yukino looked at Rem suspiciously.
"If you say so... You can always go back and rest whenever you want," Karina said, sighing about Rem refusing to go to the infirmary.
"Now Kaito, let's fight." Rem said, changing the subject.
She inspected Kaito's stats.

'The question marks are still there... Other than that, his stats are pretty high.' Rem nodded in satisfaction.
Rem and Kaito got in their positions. Yukio sat there, watching as well while Karina was deep in thought, thinking about Rem's condition.
"... The match will begin in 3..! 2..! 1..! Start!" Yukino backed off, looking at Rem closely since she didn't believe that she's fine.
Kaito equipped his dual blades and applied fire magic on his weapons. He slashed his blades in a swift motion. Two fast, burning flames that were shaped like a sharp blade and flew towards Rem.
Rem equipped her daggers and tried blocking Kaito's attack but the flames began to spread after Kaito's attack collided with Rem's daggers. Rem used her shadow magic to make the fire perish.
'If a normal person who doesn't know any magic, the fire would spread onto them and they would get burned alive... How dangerous.' Rem stood still, waiting for Kaito's next attack.
Kaito then charged at Rem, running towards her in a zigzag motion. He was extremely fast. Nobody was able to see him except for Rem. The others were only able to see a red trail.
'So far, he's the fastest out of the others...' Rem thought.
When Kaito was closer to Rem, he swung his blades diagonally in an "X" shape. The flames were faster this time. Rem blocked the flames using her right hand's shadow magic covered dagger. While Rem blocked Kaito's flame attack, he swung his right blade at Rem's left arm. In response, Rem blocked his attack using the dagger she was holding in her left hand. Both of Rem's hands were busy blocking both of Kaito's attacks. Kaito's left hand was still free. He took this chance to attack Rem using his left hand. Rem knew what Kaito was planning and used her creation magic to create a ball out of her shadow magic quickly. She then shot the shadow ball at Kaito's left hand. Rem's attack made Kaito drop his left hand's blade. The shadow ball did not hurt Kaito since the bracelet he was wearing would protect him. Rem even purposely used a tiny amount of her shadow magic to make sure she wouldn't hurt Kaito. In a daze, Kaito stood still for a few seconds.
'What is he thinking? If this was a battle, he would have been dead already... Nobody would wait for someone to attack them. Of course, this is just a test.' Rem remained calm, not showing any expressions on her face.
Finally noticing what was happening, Kaito backed off and applied fire onto his body. Now, his whole body is covered in flames. He suddenly appeared behind Rem and used all of his power to pierce Rem's right arm. Rem sensed Kaito's killing intent and used her shadow magic. Her shadow magic blew Kaito away from Rem, just like a small explosion.
"I could sense your killing intent..." Rem looked at Kaito.
She didn't mind Kaito, who seemed to kill Rem. Rem knew Kaito couldn't hurt her since she was confident in her abilities to deflect all of his attacks. Instead, she was not pleased with Kaito for releasing his killing intent.
"I'll be more careful..." Kaito replied.
"Are you both okay???" Yukino asked, her eyes wide.
"We're fine." Rem answered.
"All we saw were flashes everywhere... We could barely see anything..!" Yukino stated.
Rem stepped out of the dueling area and stumbled slightly. Karina noticed what has happened.
"Remie!!!" Karina yelled, running towards Rem.
"What is it?" Rem asked in a weak voice.
"Don't push yourself, okay? You don't look too good... You should really go to the infirmary." Karina insisted.
"No... I'm really fine." Rem said, walking past Karina.
"Yukino, do you have anything to show me?" Rem asked.
"Of course. I've learned a few buff skills that takes less time to cast and they're way stronger than my first buff skill. My healing abilities have also gotten better!" Yukino said proudly.
"Don't be careless, Remie..!" Karina grabbed Rem's shoulders, preventing her from hurting herself.
"Why? Yukino would heal me anyway." Rem tilted her head in confusion while inspecting Yukino's stats at the same time.

'I know they are but why are they making such a big fuss? I said I was fine...' Rem argued.
"You should really go to the infirmary and talk to the nurse," Yukino suggested.
Yukio nodded.
"Got rest. We can't have you collapse on tournament day, which is tomorrow, just to remind you." Kaito said.
'Yeah, you don't have to check my new skills. I'm more confident now thanks to you!" Yukino said with a determined face.
"If you insist..." Rem exited the training room.
'I don't want them to nag me anymore... Why does this feeling feel so familiar?' Rem wondered, walking towards the infirmary.

JUnknownC Ahhhh!!! I was working on this chapter and probably wrote around 300 words but when I went to another tab for a few minutes to text on discord, the page refreshed and I didn't get to save it! I had to rewrite it..! T^T
