I turned around and walked under the arch into my room. As I began to pace back and forth across the large room I heard a knock on my door.
"come in" I told the man on the other side. As they walked it my eyes widened with surprise; but that quickly subsided before the person noticed. It was the Arch-mage at the time .
The reason I was surprised was he rarely was in my presence. Mostly he stayed by my father as a protector (not that the king could not protect himself). I looked at him directly eye to eye if he was here it was serious. He composed himself and then said " There is a mysterious power in the land and I know not what it is so I have recommended you go to a lower portion of the palace".
I could feel this energy myself but marked it off as a spell of protection around the fortress area. I told him I would be awhile but should be done by end of the day. This was not because of the amount of items but because of the power they contained. My bed alone had a large amount of energy because it was enchanted to put me in a deep sleep and would wake me up if somebody were to enter the room.
He nodded then left; I called my Chamberlain to get some lunch as it was noon and I rarely eat breakfast. He left and I was alone as usual. what I did in my spare time was study things like strategy, magic, and normal arithmetic. Sometimes I would pour my energy into a special gem on the front of my belt. my belt was barely noticeable held tons of energy. It was a extremely rare gem that could hold more energy than any other. Only me, my father, The Arch Mage, and a few magicka, leaders, and traders of other nations.
