Chapter 17: Embarrassed Jean x Shocked Yuichiro x Weird Fiora
From Megan I could already expect it. She had always been a bold girl and also very independent. She lived by herself since the beginning of high school in an apartment complex, so moving in with me wouldn't be that farfetched. Jean on the other hand, caught me off guard with her bold choice of words.
"What do you mean you "should" move in with me, Jean?"
She immediately blushed and began mumbling some impossible to understand words. The only thing I caught were the words "knight" and "responsibility", so I knew which excuse she was trying to use. Still, I couldn't help but chuckle at how easy to tease she was. The contrast between the image of her fulfilling her duties and the blushing mess in front of me were so big that, if I didn't know it already, I would say that there were two different Jeans.
Not wanting to be late for class, even if that didn't bring me any problems now, I apologized for teasing her. I also informed them both that I had no issues with them both moving in with me, as I would be alone in my new house and god am I bad at cooking and other house chores.
"Hey, you'll be already moving in after school, right?" Megan asked me while looking at me with a certain shine to her eyes "Yes, I certainly will be"
"Then can you like... order someone to move my things from my apartment?"

After I promised Megan to tell Fiora during lunch break to get someone to pick her things, the three of us entered the school and went straight to our classroom. Once there a few of our classmates asked me if I was really moving and if I already had a place in mind, I just told them that it would be close to school and that I already had a professional looking into a few places. Surprisingly, no one asked where I got the money from.
Classes went by uneventfully, but that didn't bother anyone. I just did my best to pay attention from my protagonist seat –at the back by the window-, while talking with both Megan and Jean by text. It felt weird to find no "WhatsApp" or "Line" but one app called "TenComms". Deciding to be a little daring, I took my phone and uploaded a selfie on Pictagram with a text that read "History is so boring... I might go back to the 18th Century and get myself a guillotine so I can't listen to this anymore".
By the time lunch break began, I was half-asleep. A classmate that sat beside me had to nudge me with his elbow to wake me up, to which I gave him my thanks. I went directly towards the Principal's office, but on the way there I say Yuichiro looking kind of lost. He didn't seem to know where he was or what he was doing. He just stood there while looking through the window, gazing at nothingness. Seeing him like that, and idea came to my mind.
I approached him and put my arm around his neck, putting him in a chokehold. He was really startled so he yelled in surprise, but calmed down once he noticed that it was me. Still, he didn't seem to be in a good mood, so I decided to ask. Besides, his answer would help me confirm my doubts.
"Have you ever... felt Death?"
His answer was all I needed to hear. I decided to take him with me when I had my meeting with the head of the Kirijo Group. The last thing I needed was Shadows lurking around since their existence was, in a way, of divine origin. I told him to follow me to the Shizuka's Office, to which he simply looked at me with shock in his face. He didn't hear anyone call the Principal by her name so easily before, so it was understandable.

When we entered Shizuka's Office Fiora was there talking with someone over the phone, probably arranging things with the moving company. Shizuka was signing some papers about a property, which I assumed was my new house. Unsurprisingly, everything was under my name, she just put her signature here and there.
Realizing they hadn't noticed us, I made our presence known. Of course I did so by releasing a bit of pressure and smiling darkly at them. When they looked up and saw me, their expression turned so dark that even Death seemed lacklustre.
"I don't like being ignored, you know~" I said as ominously as I could. They immediately knelt down and asked for forgiveness, completely forgetting the fact that Yuichiro was in the room. I began laughing so hard that I swear people could hear me from the other block. Shizuka's and Fiora's reactions were polar opposites.
The first one seemed relieved while at the same time a bit annoyed, while the second one looked ecstatic. I was a bit weirded out by Fiora's behaviour so I decided to talk with her about it later on. Still, now I had major things to talk about.
"I want the meeting with the Kirijo Group arranged by the weekend, no later. Fiora, send the moving company to this address to pick Megan's things up, I don't want anything missing. Also, Shizuka this is Yuichiro, he will be attending my meeting with the Kirijo, teach him proper etiquette"
"As you wish, Lord Bennet" (x2)
I had never given orders, but it felt great, that was for sure. Shizuka immediately called the Kirijo Group and informed them of my wish to meet with them, while Fiora called the moving company again and arranged for them to pick Megan's things up. Yuichiro, who seemed to be utterly shocked at this scene, stood there with his eyes and mouth wide open. I simply patted his back and told wished him good luck. By the time I left the room, Shizuka and Fiora were already shaping him into a proper Knight.

Now at the cafeteria, Megan and Jean were waiting for me while talking about how living with me would be. When I reached their table I just picked Megan up and sat in her chair, putting her on my lap. Instead of getting flustered and acting bashfully, she picked a piece of food and fed it to me. Still, the red in her ears gave away her embarrassment. The actual spectacle, though, was Jean.
"W-What are you d-doing?! We a-are in school!"
"Oh come on Jean, I'll pamper you when you move in"
