Chapter 2: Brick Walls.

She stares longingly at the couple 10 feet away from her. Kissing. Holding hands. Her heart beating; wishing it was her beneath his soft lips. Wishing it was her he was caressing with his long, slender fingers. "Miss. Miss? Your order is ready". She snaps out of her reverie, longing for the moment she would get a chance to have her 'prince-charming' sweep her off her feet and treat her as tenderly as this guy was treating the woman he loves. The longer she sat looking hungrily at the couple, the more it was bringing back memories of the man she wanted so desperately to do the same spine tingling things to her. She accepts her meal, and walks sadly out the door. No more than a few seconds away from entering the stream of pedestrians walking towards their destination, she collides into what felt like a brick wall! She looks up to see what was blocking her passage. And there stood the most magnificent specimen she had ever laid her beautiful brown eyes on, with an annoyed look on his exquisite face. "Mam, would you watch the way you're swinging that coffee?" His voice was like silk molasses to her ears. She watched his luscious lips speaking; longing to feel how soft they were. She forgot about the boring meeting she had to attend with her boss over God knows what. She even forgot about the two timing hustler who had broken her heart just moments ago. "HOT Damn"' she shouted in her head. She looked deeper in his hazel eyes and the words 'Can I have your number, PLEASE' began to flow off her lips. But instead, "Pardon me, sir"' was all she could utter in a weak tiny voice. But he had already walked away not knowing he had captured her heart. "What a lame way to show yourself again" her inner voice interjected. But if her shyness keeps blocking her way, she might not ever get to satisfy that emptiness in her heart waiting to be filled. "Oh, well," she sighed heavily. "Another brick wall." Shaking her head in despair, she walks with her head up, careful not to spill her hot coffee on any other handsome men crossing her path.
