Chapter 18: Vionis
"You are finally alone," said a gentle voice of a woman full of love and passion, ringing inside his head.
At first, Cane didn't react to it much because he's already getting used to hearing Big Sis's voice inside his head and he also assumed that this voice belongs to her just as always.
However, a moment later, he halted as he realized, 'Wait, that's not Big Sis's voice!'
He surveyed around his room vigilantly but still saw no one.
Calming his raging emotion down, he questioned, "Who are you?"
He heard the giggling sound of a woman and then, she continued, "As you have been protected by that mysterious Deity the moment you descended onto the Mortal Realm, we are prevented from forming any contact with you.
"However, now that you have learned 'Basic Appraisal', you are now one of-"
Before she could finish whatever monologue she has to say, another familiar voice of Big Sis interrupted her, [Since you want to contact him that much, why won't you come here in person, face to face?]
Having no time to make head or tail of the situation, Cane's sight was blinded by a white light that suddenly spread out in front of him, enveloping the entire room.
When he regained his sight again, there's a beautiful bewitching woman dressed in pink pajamas standing dumbfoundedly and staring at him absentmindedly as if she just has her soul pulled out of her body.
She has pink hair…
Yes, that's all the description he could give about her appearance.
One moment he saw her having long hair, then the next moment he saw her having twin tails. Her eyes seem to shift between sharp and round.
It feels like he's staring at someone who's out of this world in terms of beauty.
An accurate description of her appearance would be, she is perfectly tailor-made to be your type of girl, where you can't help but fall in love with her at first sight.
If your type of girl was a mature woman with braid hair, then she would appear as such. If your type of girl is a cold beauty then she would also appear as such.
Her appearance kept changing for a while until it stopped at the first one he saw, long smooth pink hair that reaches her waist, sharp but gentle eyes that could pierce into his soul, a model figure that would attract his eyes to scan her entire body every now and then, clouding his mind with dirty thought.
Everything about her was perfect in his eyes, making Cane's heart thump non-stop.
[That's one of the Authority of the Goddess of Love, she will always appear as a perfect dream girl in every person's eyes, no matter the gender.] Big Sis's words snapped him out of his daze.
"I thought I'm into red hairs girl, not pink…" Cane muttered out unconsciously as he focused his eyes on her hair color, completely forgetting how, who, or why this woman suddenly appeared in front of him.
[She can adjust her own appearance to a certain extent. Having pink hair should be one of her true appearances.]
Cane and the woman continued to stare at each other eyes silently without moving, seemingly forgetting everything else surrounding them.
The one who broke the silent confrontation first was the woman as she exclaimed in panic and glanced around, "W-why am I here? How?!"
Her beautiful eyes then stopped at him with a confused look and a hint of fear due to the unknown reason she's here instead of inside her own realm.
She slowly stepped back, away from Cane, but then she tripped on something.
"Ahhh!"
Falling down on her butt, her leg spread, showing Cane a full display of the color of her pink lingerie underneath.

Cane's face reddened due to the sight before his eyes, but who could blame him? She is one of, if not the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. And she has even shown him her lingerie…
Sensing Cane's gazes, she looked down and saw her own embarrassing pose, her face completely turned beet red, even redder than Cane, as she quickly closed her leg and adjusted herself.
"N-no… to be seen… by a Mortal… NOOO!" She screamed and sprung herself up and glared at Cane intensely.
"Damn you! I don't know how you dragged me down here, but I will definitely… DEFINITELY get you back for this humiliation!" She tremblingly pointed at Cane and then her figure started to blur until she disappeared completely as if she's never there.
Cane blinked a few times, still having no idea about what's going on.
To him, her words were cute rather than intimidating. All he felt was an embarrassment and a bit of shyness from her tone, not anger.
After regaining his calmness, he connected the dot as he asked Big Sis, "Was that yours doing? And was she The Goddess of Love, Vionis?"
[Yes, I'm the only one who has the privilege of speaking inside your mind, no one else!] She said with a proud tone.
'Why are you feeling proud about that?' Cane was at a loss for words.
Ignoring Big Sis who's still bragging about something, he glanced at his skill, Basic Appraisal, 'Should I just delete it?'
Cane was conflicted.
It's a very good skill, a must-have no less.
After pondering about it, he decided to leave it alone. From what he has seen earlier, Big Sis seemed to have higher Authority than Vionis to be able to summon her here, so it shouldn't be a problem if Vionis tried something that would harm him.
Not that he trusted Big Sig more than Vionis, but the system was forcefully given to him so there's nothing he could do about it even if he wanted to separate himself from it.
The only thing he could do was place his trust in the system that no harm would be done to him.
However, the appearance of Vionis was deeply imprinted into his mind, to the point that he has no hope of erasing it, simply because she's too beautiful and was his type, though only in appearance as he still has no idea about her personality.
Her Authority does fit her name as the Goddess of Love. Everyone who laid their eyes on her would definitely fall in love with her at first sight, no question ask.
Unless you're not into girls.
Cane soon quickly adjusted his mood to normal as he washed his face and entered a quick bath.
After coming out of the bath and receiving his dinner from the maid at the door, he began to enjoy the meal while talking with Big Sis, "Why is she interested in me?"
[My creator went out of his way to protect you from prying eyes after all. It would be strange if they leave you alone.] She replied.
"Then you could just leave her alone. Why would you summon her here?"
However, Big Sis stayed silent and didn't answer his question.
Cane's vein popped up as he realized, "You want to create a cliché event for me, didn't you?!"
[*Whistling] but all he heard was the whistling sound.
"Damn you, system…" he's upset and annoyed.
[I was actually helping you.] Big Sis suddenly said.
"How was that helping me?"
[Don't you want to go back to your world quicker? What's faster than contacting one of the Deities governing this world and befriending them?]
"Sure, sure. I totally believe you." Cane said sarcastically and cut their conversion off.
To be honest, Big Sis's words carried some truth to them.
Who's better than Gods or Goddesses when it comes to matters related to traveling across the world?
If even they can't do it then he might as well just give up finding a shortcut and wait for the time to run out.
Forcing Vionis to meet him face to face might also help him shorten the time to negotiate with her on equal ground. It's like indirectly saying, 'I'm not someone to be messed with!'
He's certain that Vionis was still perplexed on how or why a mortal like him could drag her, a Deity, down into the mortal realm.
Not to mention that he has also seen her secret place as well…
Cane secretly thanked Big Sis and went to sleep.
It's almost time for a new day, and he couldn't wait for another Gacha.
