ENZO POV
"HAHAHAHAHA! I WIN!", Macao said as he was able to out drink Wakaba in a beer-drinking contest. Wakaba wobbles on his seat for a while then promptly losing unconsciousness due to being too drunk.
"HAHAHAHAHA", Macao said while wobbling, then losing consciousness a few seconds later.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
The guild members that were watching laughs at the predicament that the two were in, and then eventually continued to party.
"I'm telling you, master, these people just want to have any excuse to party. It doesn't even matter how little the excuse is, as long as they can party", I said to Master Makarov who was seating in the railing of the second floor of the guild.
"They're happy for you Enzo. Don't think about stuff like that, and just enjoy the party", Makarov said as he drinks his beer.
"Enzo, fight me!", Natsu said from the first floor of the guild.
I smiled and said to him, "Nah, I don't feel like it".
"I'll beat your ass, so--"
Before Natsu could even finish talking, I fired an ice projectile at him which cause him to become an ice sculpture.
"Hahahahaha!", when Gray saw Natsu being transformed into an ice sculpture, he started laughing so hard that he fell on the seat that he was seated on.
After transforming Natsu, I looked at Master Makarov and asked, "Where is Kagura? I haven't seen her all day".
"Reedus said that the girl is currently doing a mission together with Cana. Don't worry the mission ain't dangerous, Reedus made sure of that",
"I see...", I said weakly.
"You should spend time with her", Makarov said.
"I'm not her father. I told the corpses of her parents that I will take care of her, I'm doing that, aren't I? All I know is that she is doing well, then that is fine with me", I said as I drank my beer.
"She misses you, you know? Besides, giving her a portion of your income it's different than actually spending time with the girl. She considers you like family, yet you are pushing her away, every year that rift becomes greater", Makarov stated as he looks at me.
"hmmm... I was there when she was alone, that is the only reason why she considers me like family", I said as I finish drinking my beer. "But, I'm not completely cruel, here", I said as I took something using Requip magic.
I got tired of carrying my stuff on missions, so I decided to learn this magic. It took a while but I was able to learn the ability. My spatial space isn't that big though, I am only able to store clothes and some other miscellaneous stuff in it, but at least I have something.
"What do you want me to do with that?", Makarov asked confused.
"This is Kagura's birthday gift. I know that she has been trying to learn how to wield a sword, and I thought that a sword would be a great gift for her", I said to him.
"This is a katana, not a sword", Makarov said as he accepts the weapon.
The Katana takes the form of a traditional nodachi, a katana longsword. Its hilt is wrapped in a dark wrapping, outlining a series of rhombs on it, ends in a light pommel, and has a similarly light, mildly prominent fuchi, a metal disk separating the hilt from the handguard. The handguard itself takes the form of a tsuba, a flat plate perpendicular to the hilt, which has its two faces covered in intricate decorations, and possesses a mildly rounded, elongated shape with four points curving inwards, generating soft nooks, which make the tsuba itself vaguely reminiscent of a stylized four-leaf clover. The weapon comes with a matching saya, a lacquered scabbard, which is dark in color, ending in a light chape, and has a decorative rope tied around its middle part in a ribbon, with two edges left hanging.
"Well whatever, give this to her, okay?", I asked Master Makarov. I was able to get this sword during my last mission. A noble that I was able to save gave me this katana as a sign of gratitude. The first time I saw the katana I immediately thought of giving it to Kagura, so I accepted it.
"Why don't you give this to her yourself?", Makarov asked.
"I'm going to take some S-rank missions, also the Magic Council is offering some lucrative missions of their own. So, I'm sure I won't be here when it's her birthday"
Makarov nodded and said, "I see", he kept the blade in his requip space and said, "I heard about those missions. Just be careful, those missions may be lucrative but they are very dangerous.".
"Don't worry about me, danger is my middle name", I said with a smile on my face as I took some S-rank missions and left the guild. Before I left though, I made sure Natsu was back to normal and no longer a statue.
LATER THAT YEAR:
"Happy Birthday to YOU!!"
Today's was Kagura's birthday. Right now Erza, Gray, Cana, and Natsu were celebrating the birthday of the youngest member of the guild. While the older members of the guild just watch on the sidelines and congratulated Kagura for her birthday.
Kagura blew the candles and with a smile on her face, she said, "Thank you, everyone". They soon divided the chocolate cake among themselves. Kagura spotted the Strauss siblings and she invited them over to eat the cake with them. They were reluctant to join but Kagura forced them to, they can't say no to the birthday girl after all. Together they all had fun and enjoyed themselves.
By the end of their small party, Master Makarov went towards them and said, "Happy Birthday Kagura".
"Thank you master", Kagura responded.
"I have something for you", Makarov said as a katana appeared in his hand and he continued, "Enzo, told me to give this katana to you and he also told me to greet you a happy birthday".
Kagura took the katana with joy in her eyes. In truth, she was sad that Enzo wasn't here for her but she understood that being an S-rank mage had made his schedule even more hectic. So, the thought of him remembering her birthday made Kagura happy.
"Your still too young to properly hold this katana correctly, so maybe don't use it yet", Makarov reminded Kagura.
Kagura nodded and said, "Okay, but I'm going to name it". She then looks at the katana and said, "I'm going to name you, Privilege".
With one of his eyebrows raised, Makarov asked, "Why that name?".
"Cause most of the people in Rosemary village are gone, except for me, Erza and...hopefully, my brother. So, I named it 'Privilege', cause I consider it a privilege that I'm still alive today", Kagura responded with a mixture of both sadness and happiness in her voice.
