Chapter 5: A Mysterious Woman
The room was quiet as my eyes were fixed on the statue from a distance in an anxious pose. I payed a closer inspection and the statue was gleaming in the touch of the light.
'Was i imagining things?'No.. that can't be. I was sure i heard a voice coming from this statue..
I was sweating profusely in speak of a danger that might spook any moment, infront of me. I carefully took a step back then:
"What? where are you planning on going?" The statue spoke again.
Kado's heart skipped a beat in fright when he heard another voice coming from the statue.
I wasn't overthinking it earlier-- Its true and i still find it hard to believe. I didn't know statues could talk inside the Rifts.. Not in the entire history of mankind! no...
"When are you planning to stop being so overdramatic?" The sentence jolted him back to his senses but he had to gulp a mouthful of saliva.
"What do you want?"
"You're the one who was trying to lay that filty hands on me earlier and now you're asking me that question?"
He didn't know exactly what he would feel about the situation earlier, as he was only trying to take a closer look and nothing else.
"Im sorry if i offended you, i was only trying to admire some details.just please dont hurt me.."
He offered a plead after realizing he might've been at the death's door step for his recklessnes resulting to offending her. I should probably behave well from now on, that is, if i can keep myself intact from this situation.
"Oh.. I like your keen eyes. But flattery wont help you. State your business for coming here!"
After that last sentence, her voice reverberated at the ends of the room. But that question prompt something inside his head.. This room must be special for a statue to guard it like this although i dont see anything special here...
Was it hidden?
"I know i made a mistake for coming here, but it wasn't intentional. As i was just forced to from a rift."
"T-That cant-t be!" Her voice became hoarse as soon i muttered the word "Rift" This made Kado thought that she must know some secrets. But what?..
"What cant be?"
The statue went completely silent as Kado was anxiously waiting for her response. He wasnt expecting much but it would be great if he could gather some information because that would be of some great help. he thought.
He got impatient and decided to wander around the statue, constantly looking back at the statue in afraid that she might do something and get him off guard.
As he neared the broken shelf, his thoughts surged about the possible treasure this room might contain. He inspect every detail thay meets his eyes-- The shelves, chairs, tables that were scattered everywhere, a decadent chandeilier that was hanging above the statue and there was nothing else. Maybe he was wrong.
Soon he waited for almost half an hour while inspecting the stone walls that were around them. Trying to find if theres some kind of secret passage or something hidden, But to no avail.
Through his searching, he noticed there were no doors around.
He lied down the dusty floor that was unexpectedly smooth while staring at the statue in contemplation.
How many time has it been.. What am i doing here exactly. Am i stuck here forever..He was mumbling about the hoplessness situation he was in.
When suddenly--
A loud crack sound was heard from the statue. He saw this and had no clue what just happened that made the statue cracked. Is she alright?
He crawled at the statue's foot and tried to stretch his arm again to touch the statue.
To his surprise--
The statue suddenly broke into tiny bit of pieces, scattering everywhere. Some even grazes of his skin causing it to bleed. Fortunately it was just some tiny scratches and nothing sharp poke his eyes.
As he was still thinking what just happened...
A familliar sound creept up from his back, causing him to shiver.
He turned to look and saw a beautiful sight of a woman appeared before him with a hair that was shrouded with some kind of dark energy constantly waving in the air and with deep scarlet eyes that could make any man fall over heels for her.
And lastly--
Her smooth tender and naked body...
?!?!
