Chapter 5: Curiosity
Under the beautiful lights of the stars in the clear night sky, a man is sitting on a branch of a tall tree, gazing at the beautiful night sky filled with dazzling stars as far as the eye can see.

`It's been a few hours since I last moved from my current spot. *Sigh* I'll try on practicing my 'Magecraft' when the sun comes up later, now then. What about the screams I heard a few hours ago?` I pondered as I look at the dark forest that surrounds me.
"It was a surprise but gotta be ready when you don't even know what kind of world you are thrown into.." I said while looking in the direction of where I heard the screams a while ago.
"Should I go back there and look for anything useful? Or should I keep on wandering in this forest without a map?... Hmm, there should be some food there, right? I mean. I haven't even seen an animal since I got here in the forest, other than hearing birds here and there but nothing else-Ohh S-Shit... Is this forest hunted or something?...*Sigh* Then again, I'm in an unknown world after all." I said while still uneasy about the possibility of the forest being hunted.
"So, do I go on where the screams happened? I mean, if you're going to a forest like this, you should at least have some food on you, right? Hmm... huh, I got an idea! Yeah, I'll do that and see if I get any view of the edge of the forest." I said while I lean my back on the bark of the tree, with a smile present on my face.

(A few hours later)

"Is it morning a-already?..." I said lazily while I slowly open my still sleepy eyes as I dangle on the branch of a tree that is 60 meters above the cold ground.
After getting myself up and ready for the day, I suddenly saw a few dark figures, meters away from the tree I'm currently am.
I immediately lower myself to hide in the canopy of the trees and make as little noise as possible to not attract any attention towards my direction.
As the dark figures begin to pass by my direction while not noticing me as I watch in silence, as they move past me without notice of being found out, I got a better look at their figures, as people in the fantasy world called them, Goblins.
"Great. I'm in a fantasy world where magic exists." I said in a whispered tone While I watch the passerby in silence.
As the group of Goblins passed by, I was suppressing the feelings of uneasiness, nervousness, surprise, fright, and happiness.
As the minutes passed, where no Goblins or any threatening creatures the eye could see in the area, I slumped at the tree branch. And let my feelings subside as I was in no shape for adventuring at the moment.
"I know, I'm a wuss." I said to no one while looking at my shaking hands.

(A few minutes later)

I was now standing on a tree branch while looking at my surroundings.
"Okay. Let's get out of this Damned forest." I said.
I then started to jump at the branches of trees around me while making little to no noise as possible. My destination was in the direction of where I heard the screams. It may be dangerous, but as they say, no pain, no gain.

I am currently on top of a tree observing the destroyed campsite. Where the screams may have come from, there was blood everywhere it was, sickening to see. I've already checked if anybody was watching me or if there were some hidden Goblins lurking in the shadows.
"God, it must have been a brutal fight. At least there's no corpse laying on the ground." I said while covering my nose.
I then get myself down from the tree, to examine if there were anything useful like a map or compass that I could use.
"*Sigh* Most of the things here are Burnet or destroyed not only that but the stench in the air is almost Making me want to vomit." I said in annoyance while covering my nose with my hand as I look for any useful tools that can help me get the Hell out of this forest.
I then found a map but it had a few Burnet marks here and there. It was under a destroyed tent. "Hmm... So this dot here is where I'm currently at? if so I only need to follow the line and I'll get myself out of here right?" I asked myself.
"Two mountains beside each other, I think I saw two mountains while I was making my way here. That must be the place they came from. Now then. What do I do if I somehow meet a few Goblins? Do I just make a run for it? Or YOLO my way through them?" I said while pondering about it.
"If I'm not wrong, I have a skill, or is it spell? like body enchantment, right? Hmm... I do have his powers but not his Battle-hardened experience of fighting for Million if not billions of years. Well, I don't have to fight in short-range combat, after all. I'm an Archer, but short-range combat is still optional." I said as I ponder on the topic.
"*Sigh* Whatever, I'll just get the high ground to get an advantage of my archery." I said as I summon a Bow that was a matte black, western-style straight bow that was as tall as I am.
I then summoned a simple single arrow and, see if I can use a bow properly. After a few awkward moments of placing the arrow on the string, I then aim at a tree that was a few meters away.
*Wosh*
A gust of wind flow by the area as I released my hold on the arrow.
*Crack*
*Crack*
The arrow went through the tree that I was aiming for, as it also goes through the tree behind it, and only stopping at the 3rd tree it hits.
I can only look dumbfounded at the sheer power of the single simple arrow that I fired.
"Holy sh*t, I did that? I... I DID THAT! Ok ok ok, calm down Rayvel calm down... But holy F*CK though, I feel so unstoppable right now... Go back down to earth Rayvel your Ego is reaching the stars." I said while suppressing my excitement and ego.
