The rumor was obviously true. Sometimes, Hakai would stretch his body and go into his true form and even take Makino for a ride as they sailed above the clouds. Being a 100 meter dragon, it wasn't surprising that some people spotted them, but even if what they saw was real, it didn't mean that other people would actually believe them.
It also wasn't just Hakai getting known around the East Blue. Makino was also getting quite popular, being nicknamed as, 'The Dragon's Empress' which Makino actually liked and was proud of.
With this much fame in the East Blue, it was normal for the marines to have known about Hakai and Makino, as they issued a bounty for them.
While Hakai was relaxing on the decks of the ship and meditating, his concentration was broken when a seagull came up to their ship and dropped off a newspaper.
"Tsk, stupid bird!"
Grabbing the newspaper, Hakai yelled with joy as he looked at the headline of the newspaper.
'Marines give Dragon Pirates bounties!'
"Makino come here! We received our bounty!" He yelled out, calling for Makino who was making sure their ship wasn't drifting off course.
She smiled as she came over excitedly, sitting down behind Hakai as she looked at the newspaper. "Quick! Flip it! How much did I get?"
"I don't know yet. Let's see."
Hakai flipped the newspaper and looked at the 2 bounties.

[Makino]
[15,000,000 Belly]
[Quest:] Recieved a bounty has been completed!
"60 million?! Let's go! It can only go higher from here."
"How come I only have a 15 million bounty? Are they looking down on me because I'm a woman?" She clenched her first angrily.
"Makino, calm down. It's not good to be mad. Also, a 15 million bounty is really high in the East Blue," Hakai said, reassuring her that 15 million wasn't a low bounty.
It was true. East Blue is considered one of the weakest seas which is weird considering Dragon, Garp, Roger, and Luffy all originated in East Blue.
'60 million is not bad. If I remember correctly, it's higher than what Luffy's first bounty was.'

In Loguetown, a marine captain that was tasked to look over the city was looking at a bounty in front of him.
"Hakai? Well, it doesn't matter who they are. I'll catch them all the same," said a man with white hair while smoking 2 big cigars in his mouth.

Back with Hakai and Makino, they had finally arrived at their destination which was the Gecko Islands. This island has a small village and this was where Hakai was planning to get the third member of his crew which if all goes well would be Kaya.
Hakai lowered the anchor as he jumped off the ship, landing at the edge of the island with Makino following behind them.
"I wonder where the village is," Makino asked, looking around and spotting a trail that leads into the island. "Ahh that must be the way."
Hakai nodded as he followed the trail, Makino right beside him.
"Hakai, someone is watching us at our left," Makino said to him.
"I know. Just ignore them. 3 of them are just kids and the other one is too scared to attack."
Hakai was of course talking about Usopp, but since Makino didn't read the manga, or watch the anime of One Piece, she had no clue who he was talking about only that there were 4 people watching them, 3 of them being kids.
Ignoring Usopp, and his gang of kids, the duo kept following the trail, but they were stopped as a man with a long nose appeared in front of them.
"Stop right there, you pirates! My name is Captain Usopp, that's right, captain! I'm telling you to go back where you came from or suffer the wrath of my army which has 80 million people," Usopp said, clearly lying.
Since Makino and Hakai both had observation haki, it was pretty easy to tell that Usopp was lying both about being a captain, and having an army that numbered 80 million.
Hakai smirked as he walked past him. "Sure you do."
"Hey! Don't ignore me and I'm not lying. They'll pop out any second if you keep going," Usopp said, crossing his arms.
Both of them ignored the obviously fake threats as they followed the trail, finally spotting the village.
"Hakai, look!" Makino said as she pointed towards a restaurant. "Let's go eat some breakfast. Today's workout made me hungry."
Hakai nodded as he agreed with her. He wasn't actually hungry, but that didn't stop him from eating good food.
They went into the restaurant, ordering breakfast. Hakai ordered eggs and steak which was a weird request for breakfast, but the chef didn't mind while Makino's order was a bit more proper as she ordered eggs, and bacon with some hotdogs.
"Wait, you two!" Usopp followed them into the restaurant. "Stop! Don't serve these 2, they're pirates and they're going to attack the village."
The owner of the restaurant hit Usopp with a pan, making his head swell up with a bump.
"Oww! Old hag, why'd you do that?"
"Quit bothering the customers. You're always yelling pirate this pirate that, but don't go yelling that when I have customers!"
"But it's true! When have I ever lied?"
"Numerous times. Now, I'll give you the count of three and if you're not quiet or out of here by then I'll kick you out myself," the owner threatened him as she held the pan menacingly in her hand.
Usopp gulped as he sat down, scooting over beside Hakai and Makino.
"So you two are pirates, right?"
