Chapter 1: Chapter 1- Rena’s Big Decision
"Coming mom!" yelled Rena
"Hurry up! Your aunt is not gonna wait forever you know!" She yelled back
Rena quickly pulled on a yellow sundress that
matched her chocolate colored skin beautifully and made her eyes look even more green. She pulled her curly brown hair into a bun and ran down the stairs.
Her feet made a soft pat-pat-patter noise because they were carpeted.
"My darling Rena! You have gotten so tall and skinny! You should eat! Come! Come! Sit down! I'll make some food for us to eat!" Welcomed her aunt
"Auntie Emma!" Rena cried "I've missed you so much! How was the sun? Did you see the royal castle?" Rena gasped "Did you see The Eclipse?
Her aunt just laughed and replied and, "Questions later, now we eat!" She pulled out a box of the finest chocolates ever made
"Auntie! Where did you get them?"
"I'll never tell! Lest hurry and eat them before your mom catches us!"
"Ok" Rena said giggling and they began stuffing chocolate into the faces.
Renas aunt pulled the chocolate away from her and Rena began to pout.
"Oh calm down girl!" Aunt Emma said "Lets watch the news while we eat, do you like the cosmo universe or Venus local?" Inquired Emma.
"I heard that the Eclipse will be talking today!" "I don't want to miss that! She replied excitedly
"Who would?" Asked her aunt but Rena didn't reply because the queen had begun to talk...

"Hello my people! I hope you are having a lovey day so far! I have come to announce that we will be doing the 15th ever 'Stright to a Royal' or Star, championship to decide who the next ruler of the cosmos will be!
"I can not be the Eclipse forever so I will be sending out an invitation ballot to any and all females interested in becoming the eclipse between the ages 15 and 17 to participate in the next 'Ruler of All' championship!"
"Once you receive a letter from us titled 'Straight to a Royal' championship ballot, fill it out if you please and prepare to have your picture taken for verification reasons. I am looking forward to meeting all of the chosen!"
"1 Girl will be chosen from each of the following planets"...

"Wow" was all Rena could say. The eclipse is only 62! Why would she be looking to retire already? She said to herself
Out load Rena said "That was unexpected"
"Are you gonna try?" Aunt Emma asked
"I'm not sure she replied back
"I think you should! You would be great at it!" Emma stated
"Well... if you think I can do, it then I know I can" Rena said
"Yea! I'm gonna be the next Star contestant! She said with her ever growing confidence
"No" said a voice comping from behind them
Both Rena and Aunt Emma turned around to see her mom, a dish towel in one hand and bowl in the other, wiping it dry as it had just come out of the dishwasher
"NO! WHAT DO YOU MEAN NO? Aunt Emma said fiercely
"Your not gonna be the next contestant, your gonna be the next Eclipse." Her mother stated simply
I'm gonna be the next eclipse Rena said to herself...

She liked the way it tasted.
