"Yes, thank you!" She beamed brightly. It was so shining that An Zhengnan had to divert his gaze away. He then turned to the royal physician. "You heard the Princess, don't tell The Lord. I will take all responsibility if anything happens."
Of course, the Royal Physician didn't have any choice because in this palace, the Princess' words weigh more than the Lord's ah! If he happened to offend her, then he would have to say goodbye to his life! "Of course, Princess. This humble one will not say anything."
"Good." Ouyang Xueqing nodded in satisfaction. She then gave a thumbs up for An Zhengnan because he was truly a great help today. "You are the best, Brother An!"
Humph! She didn't mind to be a little sweeter toward him. Just once in a while, though. After all, she wasn't an ingrate that didn't know how to repay kindness!
An Zhengnan felt like he had just received a national treasure that worth priceless in the world. He scratched his nose and harrumphed with a poker face. Yet his obvious red blushing ears had totally given him away.
Ouyang Xueqing chuckled slightly and dismissed the royal physician. She climbed down her bed and brushed the strands of her hair that stuck out of place. At this moment, some color had returned to her face.
Suddenly, she yelped. "Aiyoh, Xiaochen!" She slapped her forehead and groaned.
How could she forget ah?! Ling Xiaochen must have been waiting for her!
Ouyang Xueqing wanted to dash outside, but she was blocked by An Zhengnan. "Ling Xiaochen is waiting for me ah! We have promised to go out together today!"
"No." An Zhengnan shook his head firmly. "You are not to step out of this room today."
"But—"
"Or I will tell The Lord."
Ouyang Xueqing whined in frustration. She was just about to pull her hair and threw some tantrum until he had no choice but to comply with her wishes when she suddenly thought of a perfect plan!
What should she do?

"Okay then." She sighed regretfully. "Can you please go and tell Ling Xiaochen that I am not well? Then, ask when she will be free again, okay?"
An Zhengnan had some objection in his heart about meeting the lively and bright girl that he deliberately avoided in the past few days. Alas, heaven really liked to play with him! The more he wanted to avoid, the more he met her!
Fortunately, they had always met when the Princess was there, but now…
"You have to deliver the message yourself okay?" Ouyang Xueqing stressed down her order. "Don't make anyone else do it for you!"

"I only trust you, Brother An." Ouyang Xueqing blinked her large eyes that was full of dependence and faith on him.
Just like that, An Zhengnan was brimming in conviction. The little bit of hesitation in his heart vanished instantly.
"Leave it to me, Princess!" He thumped his chest with vigor.
"Good!" Ouyang Xueqing nodded solemnly. "Leave now lest she waited for long!"
When An Zhengnan was gone from her room, Ouyang Xueqing serious expression faded while a sneaky grin formed across her face. She squealed in excitement as she imagined how their meeting would be.
Such a pity that she couldn't sneak a peek ah!

Ouyang Xueqing certainly didn't know that at the precise moment she felt her heart was being shredded to pieces, there was really a certain someone that was in grave danger!
On the outskirt of White Owl country.
There stood a magnificent and huge manor, even larger than the administrator's residence that had the most influence in the country. It was twice, no, even three times larger!
It was a mysterious manor that was built on the hill of the mountain that was said to belong to someone with high status. Thus, no civilian living in the country had dared to trespass carelessly. They even had to take detour when passing by.
Four main pillar of the manor stood proudly in gold while the door was covered in crystals and jades. The courtyard was decorated nicely with rows peach blossom trees that was currently in full bloom, with an elegant pond filled with fat big koi fishes swam happily on one side.
It was supposed to be a relaxing and heart-warming atmosphere.
Yet at this moment, even the blooming flowers full of life couldn't hide the gloominess surrounding the manor.
The huge manor that was usually desolate and empty was now filled with black clothed man that was patrolling about. They didn't look ordinary with their towering figure and fierce look. Even their steps was giving out some kind of intimidating aura.
But the worry etched on their faces couldn't be covered.
One was even crouching on the ground and sighed in frustration. "How could this happened?!"
The guard that was in charge of guarding the main door glanced at the man in the same helpless expression.
The man was the one that had come together with their master. Currently, his black attire was splashed with blood here and there and he looked so haggard as if he'd aged ten years. Yet he didn't move even an inch from the door and waiting patiently.
"We didn't expect Mo Yuting to be this reckless."
The haggard man remembered his master's brother and he gritted his teeth in anger. "How dare he poison our master in front of our nose!"
"It was our fault. We didn't even realize it."
He cursed at his incompetence. "Damn it! He even used such a potent poison! He really wanted to kill our master once and for all!"
The man glanced at the tightly shut door. He was so anxious that even the corner of his eyes reddened. His hands were still stained with blood.
Mo Yujian's blood.
His master had coughed out a lot of black poisonous blood all of a sudden and caught them off guard. The culprit was none other than his brother, Mo Yuting!
That bastard had recently asked his master out for a drink.
They all knew that Mo Yujian's plot was going well according to his plan. They shouldn't be suspicious of him. He really didn't have any interest in the administrator position! If not for the old master of Mo family, Mo Yujian's grandfather's last wish before his death, Mo Yujian would certainly leave this place for good!
Even though he didn't know what was the old master's wish was, but he knew that the old master was the only one that had showered Mo Yujian with affection when the whole manor abandoned him. His mother died early, his father didn't even glance at him, even the mistresses of the house treated him worse than a servant!
His master didn't want to disappoint the old master's last wish.
Thus, he had forced himself to act like a good-for-nothing to distract their attention away from him.
Yet, Mo Yuting wanted to kill him! And he had even done it blatantly in front of them!
This time, they had really lowered their guard and thus ended up in this perilous situation.
The poison corrupting Mo Yujian's body was so lethal that he threw up black blood nonstop. They had invited the Saint Physician here, but it was already three hours, yet there was still no result.
"Will something really happen to master?" He whispered in despair.
"No!" The other refuted strongly. "Master will not die because of this mere poison! He possess such a formidable strength. We have to believe that master could make it alive!"
"I know. I know but—" But he was the one that had carried master home. The other guards haven't seen how the master looked like. His lips was black and his skin turned bluish purple. The sign of poison was so obvious that even his veins could be seen throbbing under his skin, looking like it would burst anytime.
It was such a terrifying sight that filled him with grief and helplessness.
He wanted to stay positive, but…could he really?
