Ava's point of view
As the plane landed I felt relief wash over me.PHEW we're on the ground.As the captain announced that we have landed and thanked us for picking his plane.I got of my sit feeling stiff in some way.WOW.That was the longest plane ride ever.
After making sure that we both had everything I picked up my school bag that I brought with me onto the plane and walked out.After taking alot of turns again we finally reached the our planes place were we had to pick up our stuff.
Shophie and I grabbed one of the trollies to load our suitcases in and walked towards the area looking for a place to wait for our suitcases as it was crowded with other passengers from our plane also waiting for their bags.As we waited for our suitcases I wondered if the people who pack our bags in the airplane's trunk actually forgot to pack our bags or specifically MINE.
I giggled mentally at the thought of that since the apartment that we are staying in,all our documents required for it are in one of my suitcase.God knows how Sophie would kill me this time around.As we all stood there I realised that our bags were properly going to take a while so to kill time I decided to send my parents and relatives a text.
*We landed safe and sound about to head to our apartment.
I groaned out loud as I realised that my phone was now on battery low,great just great.
"Hey Soph have you called for a cab yet?"
After a while she replied after placing her phone into her silver hand bag.
"Yep, should be here in about five minutes."
I let out a breath I had no idea I was holding in.Finally after a while of waiting our bags started appearing one by one.After we got all of our luggage we walked out of the airport and called the cab driver letting him know were we where and almost immediately we saw him approach us but just to be safe I double checked the number plate.After entering the cap we let him know to drop us of at our apartment building and Sophie let him know the address.
After the long drive from the airport we arrived at a modest looking building and I couldn't help but smile at the thought that I'm finally independent.And free from my parents grip.As we entered the building we were greeted by a nice white lady dressed formally.She didn't look much older than 23.She said her name was McKenzie and she'll be allocating us to our apartment.For the first ten minutes of meeting I already like her.She wasn't your typical blonde as she had long blonde hair that ended on her waiste and with mesmerizing chocolate brown eyes.
Sophie and I followed her to the elevator area.As she entered our floor number she told us everything about the building and it's apartments and extra stairs and elevators for Incase of emergency.I listened carefully and was just greatful to not have to use the metal stairs.I shuddered as memories from my childhood about those stairs popped into my head.
When we arrived onto the fourth floor McKenzie told us our room number and handed us each our own keys.We carried on following her down the hall way until we stopped infront of a peach modern door with the number 406 engraved onto it.When she opened the door to our apartment our jaws dropped to the floor as we could not believe what we were seeing.
