Chapter 2: Chapter Two: DeceasedHuman#1

Emptiness ebbed and flowed around Asher as he floated in an endless void of black. He felt his soul reach out against the darkness around him searching and seeking out something, anything at all, but as minutes, seconds, perhaps even decades seemed to pass by. Asher realized he was inevitably alone. Memories of his life and who he was slowly slipping away as time passed by him weathering his soul like a storm on soft soil.

'Should I move on? Give up? Why am I here? Where will I go? Is it all over?' Thoughts formed in his soul for what seemed like an eternity, and just like that as quickly as the darkness arrived it vanished with a flash.

Color and light enveloped Asher in a rush of pure ecstasy making his body and mind strain against the pain that seemed to sear his eyes and slow his thoughts. He floated in a room filled with a tapestry of colorful galaxies, his point of view outside of his body looking down at the Asher he had once known, A version of himself that he had simply forgotten until now. It was a peculiar feeling looking at his own body, but Asher quickly adapted and tried to get a grasp on his surroundings, but his scanning was cut short as an amused almost sarcastic sounding voice echoed from everywhere within the place he found himself in.

"Greetings [DeceasedHuman#1], Unfortunately, you have died, but fear not for your fellow human's through hard work and teamwork have conquered the first trial of the Alpha Program and the singular survivor of the raiding party who defeated the [Trail Boss] has chosen a very specific boon, which has never before been given to a race during the Alpha trials, [Race Revival]! This mass revival spell, in this instance, was used to revive any fallen members of the casters original race who died within the first twelve minutes of program alpha. You, [DeceasedHuman#1], were the first death within the alpha program, dying at a stunning one second and thirty-two milliseconds into the alpha trials! You with the other 762,124 humans will be revived, and those of you who didn't get a chance to use the [Starting Shop] will have the next thirty-two hours to make your choices! Good luck and try not to die so quickly this time!"

The meaning of the strange words seemed to imprint themselves on Asher's soul as he took in just what the words meant. Asher's mouth dried, and his eyes clouded as he tried to understand just what the being told him. He could feel a pit of anger and fear form like a vortex in his core as he spoke aloud a terrified look plastered on his face.

"I died."
