One had to be of an appropriate chevalar birth if they wished to hold such a title, it was felt. Besides, what had the two of them done to earn it? Leach off Mane's glory as he rescued some students from a cave? They'd done nothing in their eyes, and so they were largely shunned.

It was for that reason that Pash found himself somewhat liking Harkin. He was a harsh man, for sure, with a foul-mouth, always quick to swear and swing his fist, but at least he was equally harsh with everyone, just as he was with Ermos and Pash. In his eyes, they were all equally useless.

Harkin took the lead as they strode through town, walking with that thug-like swagger that he had. At times, Pash found it hard to believe that he was indeed a chevalar. He seemed like he'd be more suited as a bandit-leader with those gruff mannerisms that he had.
