Chapter 3: Never stand in a battle ground_Three
James and I just stared at each other waiting for one of us to insult each other, so we could start yet another unfriendly war. His and my friends held their breaths but Oliver had a confused face.
You see, I and James, always bumped into each other ever since we were told bout our arranged future. So whenever we bumped into each other we would try and be civilized but sometimes things took a turn for the worst. Then it became a ritual. It always happened one way or another. Only our friends were witness because if it got out than...let's just say a war would actually break out and we would both be disowned.
"I hate to interrupt but what's going on here...?" Oliver said.
We all turned to him and an awkward silence settled. Despite how things were I just laughed. I couldn't help it, instead of seeing how things went, he commented. James snapped at me like he was taken back. I noticed that his smile was genuine. As if interested. James suddenly pulled me to him and kissed me with such possessiveness.
I.
Was.
Shocked.
I kissed him back but suddenly remembered that this wasn't supposed to happen. I couldn't let it happen. I was about to smack him when he caught me hands and whispered "mine" but loud enough for everyone to hear. He stepped back and walked away. Like nothing happened.
"Bloody idiota. Mi amour bullshit." I snapped as I grabbed my things and rushed for the bathroom.
"Lusi wait-" Oliver began.
"Oliver your next class is with Didi have fun..." I snapped and Ally followed me with an eye roll.
"Lusi come on!" he yelled after me but Ally shut the door behind us and I shattered.
"Oh no senorita please don't cry." She said as she locked the bathroom door. Every girl needing it would have to go to the gyms one. Ally checked each stall making sure there was no one.
"I hate him! I hate him so much Ally. Why did they have to force me to love him!? Why me?" I sobbed hard. My chest ached with pain and I'm pretty sure my makeup was smudged badly. I probably looked like a clown.
"Senorita you are a goddess. You are brave but also you are the one to save your family from being torn down. I know it hurts. Remember I was also pushed into this. I didn't want to get married like this also Didi but the fact that we are together and we are breadwinners of the family makes us goddesses. We will get through it no matter what. Keep your head high my Queen or else your crown will fall." She whispered. She stroked my head and said "I remember when you and James were close. You both had that bond that no one else had than it shattered after that...accident. I know you hate him but please don't destroy your family for a mistake... "
I nodded and stood. She handed me my kit and I washed my face than reapplied my makeup. I let my hair hang loose because my eyes were puffy and a bit red.
"Remember princess we can do this..." Ally whispered.
Can we really??? I asked myself.
