Chapter 1: What kind of creature you are?
******* The Beginning******
Tik- Tak- Tik- tak !!!!!!!! The clock was tickling and keep moving at 11: 10 in the evening. I walk up from my bed as fast ─as I can on the balcony─ until the walks of mine turn into a run, 11:11 in the evening I was happy and fascinated at the same time.
I did it! I see it! I saw it in my own eyes. It is surrounded by darkness but then I was too captivated by its companion. It doesn't seem that the night─ is just plain black. I see it! I saw it! The night is full of the brightest star.
Then I remember the legend about the falling deity, who will give you whatever you wish for, but like the story of Cinderella the magic will vanish when the clock turns XII at midnight— thou it's true or not it will refer that everything has its end— a limitation indeed. So, the falling deity can only fulfill one wish.
Shine...shine....shine!!!! I saw the brightest star that adds joy to my smile. There, there, there─ There was a falling star─" a shooting star".
Make a wish! make a wish! - unknown -
"If I'm not mistaken", I hear someone whispered or it just my hallucination?
Make a wish! Make a wish!— a sudden voice said and it's just a small whisper. A soft voice that you want to hear or not. It gives you chill and comfort that you never anticipate.
"Make a wish! Make a wish!— say by someone
This time I have not heard it wrong. It's a voice. I don't have any idea what's happening, yet the voice keeps saying that I should make a wish. That guessed of mine was right. It's not just my hallucinations.
" Who are you? Can you hear me? Let me see you! I tried calling— screaming even though I don't know if that's a creature or whoever it is will respond to my howl."
Oh! What a brave creature. - an unknown voice said behind my back.
" I feel chill, " the coldness all over my vein after hearing those phrases from the unknown creature. But, I still compose myself and make a clamor that has an echo in the whole surroundings. Show yourself! I said out loud. Then in just a second, I see an overbearing light and someone appears in front of me. "I can't say such a word, " after seeing her in front of me. I was captivated by her beauty— though she's indeed like a deity with her beauty, I still feel that she's no ordinary. "Art thou I don't know if my speculation is correct if she is a deity or not."
Are you for real or I'm still dreaming?– I said to the unknown.
*Chuckles* I am, " a falling one." She has its smile that makes me feel solace.
How? Did..... did you just read my mind? Are you for real? I'm not just hallucinating– right? Then something happened." Ouch! I didn't expect it..... Out of nowhere, she pinched me. That's caught me off guard. Why did you pinch me! I said to her and make a sudden pout.
Come on stop daydreaming– although it's already night." I'm real and not a legend," So stop that thought of yours. "You shall make a wish before midnight."
You— You're not a legend? You're the falling deity? What! Woahhhh! Oh my gosh! For real? I can't stop myself from smiling ear to ear and jump– I was happy. Finally, after all those millennia— I can finally get out of this cage– thou it's not a cage, coz I was in a big tower of emptiness. It's just me, the skyscraper, and the atmosphere all over the millennium. " I felt the joy, " with a glimpse of sadness—the pain without knowing myself even my name. I'm too blank. Yet, I existed having naked sight.
"Don't be such an idiot little one," just like I said you should make a wish before midnight. When the time hits XII the magic shall vanish and I cannot fulfill your wish. " The deity said those words with me. "
"Your looks don't suit your attitude. " I said to her.
And I don't care! I'm not an angel! I'm a deity!
A falling one!!!! The hell I care! Just think and say what you wish for! So my business with you in this world of yours with nothingness can be done!
"She's right I'm living with this world of nothingness," it's just me, this turret–tower and the mere sky. "Millennium had passed," I don't know my name nor who I am. I just woke up without knowing anything. I stay alive and keep breathing who doesn't know the reason for my existence. Although I live in the millennium like I'm sort kind of– immortal? Who doesn't die; it's just like a curse, on the other side, I'm just like a damsel in distress who's waiting for a knight to be saved. Yet, no knight will save me. "It's a deity." At first.... I did not know that falling deity was real. It feels surreal. I only read those from the "book of legends." It feels unreal yet, a blessing in disguise. I never thought that the falling deity was real. I was not deceived by my own eyes. Now, I know what I want. I was sinking in my deep thought when the deity called for my attention.
"So, what's your wish for, little one? " she said.
"I want to be human! " I said with a loud voice.
"Oh! You want to be a mortal. " The deity said.
Her gaze is like a warning. That I should stop and change my mind. Why? Why does she have that expression? Being mundane is having a simple happy life. " Yet, I don't know why does she have that idiom." After hearing what I said. Did I make the wrong choice? But I read a lot of novels regarding the human being.
