Chapter 8: Break.
Captain of the police force stationed in the compound(pov)
'My force and me has been stationed here for a week now, the supers seems to think it will open soon and moral is in an all time low, currently there is 15 of us and with our vehicals we created a barricade and we are ready for what ever comes down, but i can't help but feel this tingle that shit is about to go horribly wrong.'
I look to my side and she one of our new greenhorns assigned to our force, this guy just graduated from the academy.
"Clint, stand straight you are a law man now, get your hand of the gun and control your self." it may sound harsh but I need everyone under control.
I then get in the car and radio the station.
"This is captain, john badge number 15874, requesting back up at XXXXX XXXXX XXXXX golden scape compound." After a short static.
"Operator, request denied no available unites at your location be advised in case of portal opening you are authorized to use lethal force." after a short static.
"Operator, what is going on?" john picked up on the worried under tones of the operator.
"Those things are opening up all over the city, you're on your own, casualties are piling up and there are bodies all the city tonight." after a short static john put the radio down and massaged his temples.
He was worried about his family and although there is no portal near their house things could go wrong, just what the hell is going on.
"Joshua!" john called and an officer came running.
"pop the trunks and get the rifles." john stood up and straightened his vest.
"yes sir." Joshua did as he was instructed while john made somethings clear to his force.
"We have been authorized to use lethal force, whatever comes out the portal smoke it.
everyone gets a rifle, count your ammunition's and leave your gun for emergency only, Clint you are on me." I then proceeded to one of the rifles and took one while clint followed suit.
"Listen kid, safety off, aim, shoot and don't think about too much we have duty here." john took position behind one of the vehicles as he watched all the force get in position.
"Those freaks could've helped us now." Clint was talking about the supers off course.
"Freaks not freaks they cleared those civilians out and we are free to shoot how we want." Clearly I don't care about the supers but I do find the situation wierd as hell.
But just as our conversation came to an end, a bone hand came ou the portal.
"Weapons free!."
Back to escanor who was standing in tbe Street next to his building, infront of the front gate.
As he gazed up the building you can all the windows and balconies filled with people watching him, they were of course anxious as hell and wanted to see if the decision they made was the right one or the wrong one.
The country of Korea has entered a state of emergency ever since the gates appeared so eveyone was at home with curfews and a general lockdown of all businesses.
This happened in similar details all around the world and today, they will pay alot to learn that gates are a 2 way street, the national guard and army has been deployed but since golden scape compound is in a small town outside the capital they are not here which is why i have to take care of my home.
Gates are divided into ranks and although no one has seen or heard of E rank gates i think they do exist and this is the only time they will appear, the one in the compound seems to be a D rank one.
E and D ranks can be dealt with by normal, trained humans meaning the military and there will be alot of casualties.
C rank and above are super human territory, guns start to lose effect and more expensive methods come into play and in a area like dungeon using explosive material is not a bright idea so the world will be forced to adapt to us.
Lets see where this leads us.

"It's starting!" one of the people in the balcony shouted.
He startes a chain reaction of commotion it all the building, but I couldn't care less, i just waited for a while and soon I spotted 4 officers running towards us and one of them was injured with a cut across his left abdomen where the vest was weaker.
behind them was around 40 undead.
slightly armoured with rusted metal, their swords were rusty but you can tell bullets will go right through them and barley do damage.
A bad opponent for guns.
I looked around me, I need a blunt weapon yhese undead are nasty skeletons with decomposed flesh, if i punch them it will do the job but... they are nasty.
i walked up to a stop sign and pulled it out of the ground.
"Yes...this will do." and i walked slowly towards the cops.
As we got closer they slowed down a little bit.
"Get in the building with the others." they heard me and headed towards the building.
The skeleton undead were not slow, that and they don't feel anything makes them only want to rush at you.
The first one came in front of me.
I held the poll and swinged at it.
*ting*
Bones shattered and started flying everywhere.
"This poll is not bad, well then... Its time to end this."

noname_noname A problem i faced.
1)I'm not Korean so i don't know places, but i will try search up ones relative to the story.
2)I'm not Asian so making Asian names is hard af so i will stick to western names, all people from the original will stay the same tho.
by now you can guess the updates are 1-2 chapters a week, Im a busy man.
mostly 2 chapters so meh, we'll see how it goes.
