Chapter 2: Insects Do Bite
INSECTS DO BITE
There was no buildings nor houses in sight, only a path of dirt and grass. Sometimes, there's a tree.
In the middle of road was a group of people.
They were all dead.

Eli suddenly stopped after he saw the sight, while Von jumped down from Eli's back.
"What a horrible sight" Von commented while looking at the people that was lying dead on the ground.
"Then, close your eyes?" Eli jokingly said.
Von snickers. "If only I can, Eli. If only I can..." Eli went silent when he felt how Von suddenly became too serious.
"You can not just unseen the things you've already seen." Von continued.
Von went closer to the feet of a woman who was bathing from her own blood. After just a few seconds, she couldn't take it anymore and looked at a different direction instead.
When she divert her eyes, she noticed that the victims were wearing a same color of jacket.

5 people rode a jeep wrangler, who are apparently a group of friends. The one who was driving is called Kiz; while the person beside him is his girlfriend, Lynn. The other 3 that were sitting at the back goes by the names : Red, Hura, and Y.C.
The 5 of them were given a task to receive the child that was given to the organization they were working at as a gift from another company, which symbolizes their gratefulness.
When they arrive at the destination where they'll receive the child, they saw how it was confined with shackles and a chain on its neck as if it was a dog. The five of them can't help themselves but to snicker and smirk at the child's appearance, rather than to pity him.
"Are you really that useless so your company would just sold you off to us?" Hura sarcastically asked as she tried to suppress her laughter.
The child deliberately ignored her as he remained his head facing downwards. This made Hura somehow irritates her. "Tsk. Let's just tell to our boss to sell its organs instead if he won't be useful to us anyway" Hura said while she glares at the child.
The other four laugh at what Hura said. "You heard that? Are you not scared, kid?" asked by Red but the child still didn't bother to answer.
"What's your name, kid?" Y.C asked when he noticed how the child ignored the others.
"I have none" the child whispered.
The five of them frowned in confusion. "What do you mean?" Y.C asked again.
The child nods as he look straight in the eyes of Y.C , "I don't have any name" the child confirmed it.
"You're useless anyway that is why giving you a name would be pointless" Hura said as she smirk. The child clenched his fist when he heard this but he just let them to laugh at him.
Kiz pulled the chain which also made the child went towards where Kiz were. "Let's go" Kiz told them while pulling the child using the chains.
In the middle of the ride, Hura asked the child again in a cranky manner, "So? Why were you given to us?"
The child didn't heard what Hura asked and was busy thinking about his friends that he left there. With Hura's anger towards the child, she mercilessly choked him with her hands.
"Hura!" Y.C and Lynn scolded Hura when they saw what she did.
Hura angrily stared at the child while she's strangling him, "You should answer when you are being asked!"
The others tried their best to quell Hura's anger and suppress her from killing the child. Fortunately they succeeded. "Tsk. What a rascal!" Hura said as she clicked her tongue in annoyance.
The child gasped for air when he was released from Hura's hands. He tried his best to suppress his anger. He just thought that it was for the best that he was the one who was sold and having a hard time. This is better than having his friends get involved from this.
The young child smiled bitterly when he could finally catch his breath.
"You're right. They don't need someone like me on there" The child admits.
Hura, Red and Y.C sat properly to listen properly, while Kiz and Lynn who sits at front also listened attentively to what the child will say next.
"Kids like me were discriminated and treated as trash"
"What's wrong with that? You are really look like a trash" Red teased even more and doesn't even feel any sympathy for the child's situation.
The child tightly closed his fist. "And people like you won't understand us, unless you yourselves experience what we have gone through" the child muttered.
"We don't need to understand the likes of you. You don't even have proper contribution in our lives. I guess, you were only born to give humor in our life" Hura truthfully said.
The child looked at Hura's eyes, "Yes. That's why most of you underestimated us. You don't know that even mosquitoes knows how to bite"
The five of them got confused at what the child was trying to say, but after a while their eyes went wide when they realized what's going on.
"The brake is not working!" Kiz anxiously announced.
"Do something, Kiz!" Lynn desperately told her boyfriend while getting more nervous
Y.C glared at the child, "What did you do?"
The child looked outside where only fields of grass could be seen. "It was not me"
"Are you kidding us? If its not you, then who?!"
"My friends did it" the child admit. Everyone got confused.
"Me and my friends started a resistance group against the company. But eventually the company found that there was something wrong. I took all the blame so my friends won't get involved. Well of course I was the one who instructed my friends to destroy the brake while you guys were mocking me earlier. It is because we knew that you are the same as them" the young child confessed.
"But you would also die with us!" Y.C countered.
The kid smirked. "My life is not as precious as yours, right?"
"Oh! Fuck this!" Hura cursed before she jumped down from the wrangler. With Hura's lead, the others also jumped down.
The young child shook his head in disappointment when ge watched how the 5 jumped away from the wrangler. Right after they jump, the child detonates the bomb that was planted on the vehicle. The kid and the other five was caught from the explosion which caused their deaths.
"This will serve as our warning" these was the last words the kid utter before he closed his eyes.

Von bow her head in sorrow while she curved up a bitter smile from her lips, "This was their karma, I see"
Eli went closer where Von is. He was about to say something but Von spoke first. "Karma might be also chasing after me at this point, Eli."
Eli got confused by what Von means. He just ignored it and prayed for the people who died. Von also did the same and wished for their soul.
Eli and Von buried the corpses. One young male child, two adult women, three adult men.
