Chapter 2: ☄ TWO ☄
"So, the reason why I waste my time to meet you was because I have something important to tell you. Hope you don't freak out." said Amber while sipping her latte.
"Then, don't waste any more time. Just spill it." said Anastasia can't wait to hear the unknown news. She can't even predict the news is going to be a bad one or a good one.
"Here is the thing. I have to get married next month and I want you to be there as my bridesmaid. There might be my other friends but you are my most important person to be in my wedding." said Amber fidgeting her fingers. Anastasia almost choked on her smoothie but she held it in, surprised by the sudden news. It was a great one but she wondered why Amber doesn't look happy by it.
"Wow, I am surprised. Who is the groom? Is it the guy that you met during our last holiday together?" asked Anastasia getting more into the news.
"Ha, no. Not that one. It's an arrange one." Amber said taking another sip of her latte.
"Wait, ket me guess. It was father's work right?" guessed Anastasia and her guess was right as Amber not denying it.
"I still love that guy I met last holiday, Oliver. But, as one of the successor, father and mother force me to married to the son of the Mitsubasha company. I have no other choice." Amber add and putting her faint smile, rethink about her life that were arranged by her parents since childhood.
"I knew that you will go through this sooner or later. I am sorry to hear that it was someone other than that Oliver guy. This is the main reason why I don't want to step my feet at the house anymore." said Anastasia and frowning.
"We already planned to get married this weekend, but, I have to cancelled it for the sake of father's company." said Amber.
Anastasia held her sister's warm hand and swiftly patted it to make her sister feel better.
"Everything is going to be okay. I know you can do it. The marriage is a contract one right?" asked Anastasia and smile. Amber smile back to her younger sister as she understood well what the woman in front of her thinking of.
Amber sent Anastasia back to the kindergarten as Anastasia's car was still at there. Before they bid their farewell, Anastasia told her sister, Amber something.
"If you want me too keep you company for your wedding stuff, you can hit me up any time. I will make my time for you." Anastasia said and immediately went out from the car. Amber smiled to herself and drove away.
Anastasia went inside the kindergarten for a while to take her car keys. She saw that Mrs.Andrews was still there, marking her students work.
"You are still here? Thought you were already home." said Anastasia and sit beside Mrs.Andrews. She was observing the middle age woman's work.
"So, how was the talk with your sister? Is everything fine?" asked Mrs.Andrews still focusing marking the paper.
"Yeah. Thought she would ask me to go back to my family house. But, it turned out to be that my sister was going to get married next month. She asked me to be her bridesmaid." Anastasia said while staring on to nothing. Mrs.Andrews realize that Anastasia was not in her best mood. She was wondering why Anastasia was acting like that. Shouldn't Anastasia felt happy as it was her sister's wedding?
"That's a good news. Congratulations. But, why did you look so down?" asked Mrs.Andrews worried.
"I feel bad for Amber. She have to married with someone that she never know and she never like. She had someone she like but because of my father, she have to forgot her loved one. That is why I will never want to go to the house again." answered Anastasia.
Mrs.Andrews just patted Anastasia back as she doesn't know what to reply to it. She understood so well Anastasia's emotion. Before Anastasia be the teacher for her kindergarten, Anastasia had told her everything. So, she knows very well. The rest of the day went with both of them hanging out, wasting their time together at school, talking about things that had been happening in their life.
The next day, Anastasia was already in front of the kindergarten, waiting for the children to come. She was standing still at the front gate, but she flinched when someone was driving their car like a nuisance early in the morning.
Terrified. That is the word which can explain how she felt that morning as she was scared about the safety of the children. When she was hurrying the children.
Unfortunately, a kid, was walking across the street to get to the school, almost got the car. Thankfully, Anastasia saw the incidents and ran as fast as she can to get the kid. She pushed away the kid and the thing she saw was the light that were coming from the car of the irresponsible driver. The last thing Anastasia heard was the sound of people shouted for help before she closed her eyes tightly.
The beeping sound made Anastasia woke up from her slumber. She opened her eyes and closed it back. It was repeated until she get used to the bright light. It was weird as she doesn't know where she was at the time, the white wall was around her, with some sort of wire got attached on her hand, with the beeping sound that were coming from the monitor.
She felt pain on her head and immediately she put her hand on her head. It was bandaged. Then, someone unknown went in her room and called for the doctor as he saw that Anastasia had come to her senses.
The doctor came and checked on Anastasia who still not aware why and how she was at the place called hospital. She thought that she was already dead but it doesn't look like that at all.
After the check up, the doctor said that there is nothing wrong with Anastasia and she can go home in two days. Then, the same person who burst in her room just now walked to Anastasia and took a sit beside her.
"Who are you?" asked Anastasia.
