"Still not done yet?" I drew everyone's attention, but the attention was not on me, but on what I had over my shoulder. The four opponents had a shocked expression. Was that not who they came with? How was he captured? I threw down Gato and flickered to the side of Team 7's opponent. With a quick swipe, his head fell off his body. I did not care. My lazy mood was ruined and I just wanted to go home.
Haku took advantage of his opponent's lapse in concentration and threw a needle into his neck, before finally finishing him of with and ice spear in the heart. Kakashi no longer worried about his team could finally fully concentrate on his opponent. Just like the anime, he summoned his dogs and trapped his enemy before finishing him off with Raikiri into the heart.
Seeing everyone finish their opponents before him looked to agitate the demon Zabuza. His attacks became fiercer and surprisingly, more precise. The way he wielded the executioner blade was as if he held a simple machete instead. It did not take long before he completely overwhelmed his opponent and cleaved him in two at the chest level. So weird; I had seen people split in two at the waist level or from head to groin, but never at the chest level. It was a weird sight for me.
I smirked at Zabuza, desperately fighting the urge to mock him. That was when the mob of villagers came rushing over. Finally, tired of the suppression, they had come to fight for their village, under the rally of Inari. 'Guess that part did not change'.
The villagers gathered around Gato. The man that had suppressed them and killed their loved ones for so long was now helpless before them. I could see their desire to kill him. "Don't even think about it." I spoke, amid the helpless and reluctant gazes. I knew they wanted their revenge but I had things I needed to find out from him.
"Regardless of what he has done, you have my word; He will definitely pay for his crimes. Justice will prevail." Blegh. Think I'm gonna be sick. Such cheezy words, but that seemed to calm them down. While congratulating themselves on finally showing gusto, the crowd eventually began with the cleanup of the place. When they got to the bottom of the bridge and saw the number of dismembered bodies strewn all over, some couldn't help throw up. I only shrugged when they looked at me, some with slight fear. I was the one who showed them where to find the bodies so naturally they knew I was the one that killed them.
After the cleanup, myself, Kakashi and Zabuza took the frightened Gato somewhere secluded. I had broken his leg to prevent him from even thinking of running, Well, let's be honest, it was not like he could outrun three jounin level shinobi who had no interest in letting him go.
I placed a sound barrier around us before Kakashi turned to me and asked, "So why did you need him alive?" He had been wanting to know for a while. Zabuza had also perked his ears up slightly. Although he knew we would need Gato to tell us where he hid his treasury, it looked like I had a different agenda.
I nodded and began, "Over the past year, during my missions, I came across an organization that calls itself 'Liberation'. I took a breath before continuing, "From what I know, it is not just civilians who have such beliefs. Remember Kazuma of the twelve guardians?" Kakashi nodded, but Zabuza remained quiet. I did not know if he was around the fire country by then or not, or if he had heard, but I gave a brief summary.
"Kazuma and his gang believed true authority needed to be in the hands of the Fire Daimyo. Caught up to him recently and turned out I was right; He was part of 'Liberation'. Unfortunately, he was not that high up their ladder. Although he believed in what they did, it seemed they were only using him; Who would blame them. I walked towards him and did a quick seal before he was swallowed by a large mouth. His eyes dimmed slightly before gaining clarity once more. There was no longer a look of fear on his face; In fact, he now had a sharp look in his eyes. Both Kakashi and Zabuza were surprised by what they saw. They knew the old Gato was completely gone.
'What a terrifying ability.' They both thought.
I shook my head in disappointed. "I was right. He was nothing more than a money line. They provided goons and thugs, while he gave a percentage of the money he monopolized from this place. He was not even an official member." I swiped my hand and off came Gato's head.
"Couldn't we have used him to try infiltrate their ranks?" Zabuza asked to which I shook my head.

Like I said earlier, there is a chance your young Akari is part of their organization. If she is then Word would definitely get to them." Their frowns deepened, wondering exactly how far this organization went.
I chuckled at their looks, "You should not worry too much. In the end, all that matters I strength enough to protect yourself and those close to you. I only worry cos whatever they may be planning would be annoying. Besides, there is an even more terrifying existence we need to worry about." Both men were surprised once more. They both felt like a headache was coming on.
"Haha. All that matters is getting strong. Don't die on me now, Zabuchi." He frowned, but was too tired to argue with me. I told him the location of Gato's treasury, to which he bid us farewell and left, leaving just me and Kakashi.
"The more terrifying existence. It wouldn't be linked to Obito, would it?" After Zabuza left, Kakashi finally asked me what he had been dying to ask. I merely nodded at him. He looked to the skies and took a deep breath. He nodded back before signaling us to return. Well, not like I was going to tell him about Madara and Kaguya. Even if I did, what could he do? He was not 'the chosen one' after all.
