A new day had erupted and the sun was shining through the half-closed window. The wind was blowing through the small gap in the window, and the cold breeze was hitting your small face. You're phone's alarm rang a few times before you finally managed to get yourself up and close the alarm. It was 7:00 am. Like every day, you made your way to your small bathroom and washed your face with cold water. After drying your face with a towel, you headed back to your room and opened your wooden closet, examining the inside and thinking what you should wear to work today.

You took a gray t-shirt and ripped jeans from the closet and closed the door. The gray t-shirt was your mother's old shirt, which she handed to you as a gift. It made you smile and think of your mother. She meant everything to you, she was your guardian angel and your precious friend.

You got dressed and headed to the kitchen to make something for breakfast. You looked inside the fridge and sighed. It was almost empty and nothing but yogurt was inside it. You took the bottle of yogurt and drank half of it. After having your "breakfast", you headed to work.

The streets were empty since it was still 7:30 am and everyone was probably still sleeping. The cold weather was weirdly nice and calming and you liked to watch the white steam that came out of your mouth every time you exhaled. All the shops were closed and there were just a few cars passing by every now and then. You decided to take the longer route to work, since you had 30 minutes left.

The longer route was through a beautiful park. It was huge and full of different plants. Every flower was beautiful and you really wanted to look at all of them, but you couldn't. There was an older man sitting on a wooden bench, looking at a small pond. You too looked at the small pond and saw a black swan swimming and moving it's wings. You decided to sit next to the older man, because you wanted to watch the beautiful black swan.

"Isn't it beautiful?" The old man sighed and pointed at the black swan that was swinning in the little pond.

You turned your head to face the old man and gave him a small smile before answering. "Yeah, it's very pretty."

The old man chuckled and turned to look at you. "Did you know, that a black swan symbolizes freedom?" He asked and took your hands in his warm hands.

Your eyes widened because of his sudden action but you let him keep your hands in his. "Freedom?" You asked in a curious tone.

"If you feel like you are consumed by your own darkness, the black swan is a reminder, that you can get through the pain, and reclaim your personal power," he smiled and let go of your hands.

You felt a lump forming in your throat, and because of that, you stood up and bowed at the older man. He widened his eyes in surprise but gave you a warm smile before you left the park. You felt like crying again, but you didn't let the tears fall this time.

You exited the park and looked at your phone; it was already 7:50 am. You gasped and started running torwards the cafe you worked at. At last you arrived and in time too. Well, it was 7:57 am but you were still on time.

The door made a creaking noice when you arrived which made you flinch a little before heading to your locker. You quickly changed to your working attire and started working. The cafe was still empty and it was very quiet. In the end, the cafe was full of people and all the waiters were working hard, including you.

There was a nice smell in the air as everyone had ordered coffee and all kinds of pastries. The cafe was lively and the atmosphere was nice. Until you accidentally bumped into a young girl. She gave you a disgusted look and cursed at you, because you spilled coffee on her shirt.

"Y/N! Are you kidding me?! What the hell is this mess you've created?!" One of your co-workers yelled at you and you felt like you wanted to disappear. Everyone was staring at you.

"I'm very sorry, I didn't realize the floor was wet..." you frowned and looked at your feet.

"I'm going to report this to the boss, you might want to get prepared to be thrown out."

"Bu-" you tried to explain.

"No buts," she clicked her tongue and left for the backroom.

You looked at the angry girl who was still waiting for an apology unpatiently. She was still looking at you like you were trash. It felt like she was staring holes into your head.

"Are you going to apologize?" The girl said annoyingly.

"Yes! I- I'm sorry for spilling the coffee on your shirt... I can make it up to you though! Just say what you want and I'll do it..." You begged and bowed at her.

"Tch, I don't need her from a poor girl like you. Just give me money and I'll be alright. I can't promise that you'll keep your workplace though." She smirked and raised her hand in front of me.

"H- how much do you need?" You asked qith a quiet voice.

"Five hundred would be alright," She said witha fake smile and raised one of her eyebrows.

"F- five hundred??? Where would I get that much money?" You widened your eyes in shock.

"I don't know and I don't care," She rolled her eyes.

"Can I pay you in sections...?" You asked carefully.

"Tch, do what you want, I don't care how you pay me," She clicked her tongue and gave you her bank account's number.

"T- thank you..." You mumbled and went to get a mop to clean the floor. Everyone was still looking at your pitiful figure trying to sweep the floor from all the coffee. You felt your face getting a little from the embarrassement.

After finishing your work, you changed to your normal clothes and headed back home. On your way home, you decided to take the longer route again and go to the park for a bit. It was getting colder since it was already 7:30 pm. You were shivering a little, but you didn't care about it. The roads were illuminated by the numerous streetlights that were on the edge of the road, so it was easy to navigate through the night.

The park was quiet, and you could only hear the rustling plants and trees nearby. The wind was blowing on your face, but colder than in the morning. You saw the same bench from this morning and decided to sit on it for a while.

You watched all the people walk past you, talking to their friends and family members. You started feeling a little lonely, but you brushed the bad thoughts away, because it hurt you.

Suddenly, you heard something coming from the small pond and you decided to take a closer look. You widened your eyes after seeing what was in the middle of the pond.

"Wha-"
