Chapter 3: The Forest.
Inside the forest, the trees appear to grow larger than what they seemed from outside. They almost feel hostile as they lean over him. Some roots protrude out of the ground are a hurdle, further slowing his speed. Although making very little noise and attempting to sneak as best as he can, a large owl spots him and lands on the branch of a tree in front of him.
It's eyes locked onto his body. An unnatural gaze that seems to stare right through him. All the sounds of creatures throughout the area cease, leaving only deathly silence. There's a change in atmosphere, and tension in the air. The robot laying on the lush forest floor realizes this bird isn't simple. As quickly as his right leg and arm can move him, he hides behind a tree blocking line of sight to the menacing bird. A few seconds pass, hoping it lost interest in him, he leans to the right just enough to peak at the branch it was on.
It's still there, just staring at him with that creepy gaze. He pulls back behind the tree. Frightened, he doesn't dare to continue his journey in fear of provoking this unknown animal. Just feeling the pressure that it's stare gives off tells him he's no match for it. If they fight, he will lose.
Waiting behind the tree he starts to get anxious. If he continues to waste time then he'll never make it out of this forest. He's a sitting duck waiting to die. He leans his body over to peek past the tree, and it's not there! It must've got bored and left! Giving a nonexistent smirk on his blank face plate, he reaches out and drags himself along, eager to continue his journey and get out of this deadly forest.
Suddenly the leaves on the branch above him shake. Startled, he glances up, but before he understands what's happened, he's knocked unconscious.
