Chapter 4: X779,Barrier fruit
While Ryuji was searching for the various quest he found one with 50000 Jewel
the quest was to hunt a magical vulture which was terrorizing the village
Fire Village wherein original, Phoenix stone story was carried out
thinking this Ryuji took the quest to get the approval of Makarov
Makarov"Oh! the vulture case, it has a good reward, I think you should bring along someone because it is a quite bothersome place"
Ryuji thought about who to bring along as he is not too close with guild members hence he went to Natsu"Natsu, want to go on a quest with me?"
Natsu"Nope, I already have a quest "
Then Ryuji turned to Cana who was drinking but rejected this idea and proceeding to Gray
Ryuji"Hey Gray! want to do a quest with me ?"
Gray" which quest ?"
Ryuji"vulture, Fire village"
Gray approved and stood up when suddenly Ryuji asked "why are you naked?"
Gray"when did this happen "
Both Gray and Ryujin went to the fire village taking the train which was paid by Gray as Ryuji was penniless
Then they arrived at the village where Vulture had been coming every night and taking people and animals so, villagers request the guild
when Ryuji and Gray arrived, they were welcome by the villager
And hence they were on guard against the vulture that night
While waiting Gray felt tired so he went to sleep while Ryuji was on duty.
Around midnight Vulture came to the village. this vulture was black in color and had a length/height of 12 m. Ryuji just jumped to the tallest house in the village and looked toward the Vulture
It also saw a little boy staring at him and turned his focus to this boy as it sensed powerful magic.
after the staring competition, the Vulture suddenly spits out the fire toward Ryujin which he dodges then after dodging he jumped with his all force arriving in front of the vulture.
Just as he arrived in front of its face; he punched without haki
this power against a knight or mage can be huge but for a 12 m monster it was not much hence the vulture was just pushed back
Seeing itself being pushed back, The vulture was angry with this little human angrily, he threw the blade of feather naming"Feather blade=AOE attack "
This attack of fire attack was so loud that it woke up Gray finally.but just as he woke up feathers were coming
Gray looking the Vulture quickly did"Ice make _shield "and survived whereas some houses were damaged
For Ryuji, he just used observation Haki and dodge all the attacks leaving both vulture and Gray shocked.
The current Ryuji doesn't have a long-range attack hence he just used his magic power in his foot making it spongy hence jumped to the Vulture and punched the vulture with Haki coated fist making it fall down
After the vulture falls down Gray quickly use 'Ice Make_spike " and pinned it down
Seeing the vulture being pinned down, Ryuji while falling clenched his fist and revolve the magic power around his fist making it crystal type and again coated his fist with Haki and blasted the head of the Vulture. Ryuji also exhaust his magic power making it spongy and crystal, and fell down
Gray who saw this made an icy slide
Ryuji"Nice timing Gray"
The fight ended fast.
This was the first fight against a magical creature since Ryuji arrived in this world.
After some time his magic was again full and increased by half.
Ryuji knew this was bound to happen because he had never used his magic before for any fight, fighting is the best choice for him.
While he was thinking this villager made a soup from vulture and presented both Gray and Ryuji. both were hungry because of the fight and stamina loss
While eating
Gray"what was that crystal looking around your fist of the last attack?"
Ryuji"oh that was my magic ''barrier magic"
Gray "Not the phoenix?"
Ryuji"No, Phoenix magic is only the dark layer type, the crystal was the barrier that I personally created and it is not some Lost or ancient one "
After eating the food Ryuji went to the village chief "Sir, I heard something about phoenix stone, do you have any clue?"
Chief"well that was so many years ago, we don't know of Phoenix stone but we have Phoenix sculptor "saying this he pointed toward the direction of the temple
Reaching the Temple, there was a little resonance between him and the statue of the phoenix,
This resonance helped Ryuji by increasing his body strength by twice and Armament Haki time limit by thrice, observation Haki ranged increase to 25m without focus
This was very helpful for Ryuji who had gone through a huge training for the current body strength. So suddenly doubling the strength was the best reward he could get.
But the resonance was not finished, It continued till Ryuji can finally command Barrier 10m around him while having protection for his body.
Looking at this progress he finally was happy in his choice of Choosing Barrier Fruit of Bartolomeo while making the video game character.
They rested one more day and after taking the reward of 50000 jewels, they returned to Magnolia where Ryuji with the help of Makarov bought land with a partial payment system paying 25000 to 1 million. This land was just beside the Fairy Hills
After getting the land with the help of Gray and Natsu he built a good wooden house of 2 stories consisting of a training room, kitchen, living, and a bedroom.
Ryuji's life was going on with the quest, to get money for land and powering up.
like this, some weeks passed and the year changed to X780
