I gasp as Mika smirks at me through the mirror.

"I'm going to allow you to stay here. I'm going to allow you to be friends with Ben and all the others, but what you're?not?going to do," her knife presses harder against my neck. "You're going to stop seeing Benjamin, don't let him come in your room, don't let him touch you, just stay away from him."

"Or what?" I grit.

"Or something really, really bad will happen to you, love. Betrayal is bittersweet."

"I would never betray them."

"Blah blah blah. I'm a little smarter than what you give me credit for. Just do as I say, and you won't lose them."

"Why are you doing this?"

"Because you're trying to take away, everything I have. And if my threat isn't enough for you, his mom isn't dead. Don't let her make a permanent reappearance."

"Benjamin can take care of himself," I state.

"Not when it comes to mommy dearest." She giggles evilly. "Don't hurt him Darling, or else he'll fall right back into my arms."
