Some stories have no endings, they last forever, each time told by another person, acquiring new meanings and explanations. These exceptions have the same unchanging formula - they spread in people's minds like a virus. Each infected person shapes these stories by changing some details to his liking. The changing structure of the world is forced to keep up with events. Birth, wonderful life, fulfilment and finally death. Everyone has to meet an end, the difference in understanding happiness lies in the intentions of the dying person. His existence lies in remembering not legends, but his stories.

On one exceptionally sunny day, in the middle of summer... under a bright blue sky, among the graves surrounded by a warm breeze. On a tiny hill near the old Catholic church, a small group of mourners gathered. In fact, it was a fake funeral in a fake group of fake friends and acquaintances. In fact, the only real friends of the deceased were Beatrice and Michael. The rest of the assembly consisted of random believers who decided to attend the funeral. Not just any funeral, after all, the person whose soul had evaporated into the abyss was the former guardian of Luna, the last member of the Lozano family. True, Elias died an extremely treacherous death, surrounded by his loved ones, in peace. Although Luna promised him "beautiful death", she couldn't keep her word... that's quite because she was, at the time, dead herself.

Putting all pre-mortal regrets aside, Elias's funeral was impressively joyful. Beatrice and Michael solemnly laid flowers on the obsidian grave plate. White lilies of the valley... Elias' favourite flowers, he always decorated the tables in the bar in Eden just under the colour of that flower. He was always characterized by this elegant way of being. This indefinite taste in existence, as if he were not a man but an angel sent to earth to take on a human form and live alongside Luna, fulfilling her whims and watching over her soul. It's good that he died on such a beautiful day, at least he will remain a good memory, full of hope.

The sun was at its zenith, the glow of the rays reflected off Elias's polished grave, scattering streaks of light across the world. An indication of the last meeting, the end of one story and the beginning of another. An unbroken string continues and will continue indefinitely, continued from generation to generation. Dear God, watch over Elias's soul... if he managed to pass through the Heavenly Gates.

Beatrice and Michael went to the exit towards the cemetery gate, engraved with the inscription "L'occhio Divino sta guardando". 'I can't believe that Elias has left us...', said Michael, staring at the blue sky crossed by white bands of feathery clouds. Beatrice did not answer Michael, she was too busy looking at the engraving. 'If your divine eye is actually on watch, why did you allow such a thing...?', Beatrice muttered to herself, Michael only managed to hear the pieces of a woman's whisper. 'Did you say something, Beatrice?', Michael asked politely, looking at Beatrice. 'What? Oh! No! I'm just muttering without sense, don't mind me.', Beatrice managed to hide a momentary embarrassment, she repeated the same question in her mind and how his utterance would affect Michael's memory. 'Michael, I-!', Beatrice was stopped by Michael: 'Relax, you will tell me everything when we get back to Eden, this is not the time and time to talk, let's devote this moment fully to Elias.', Michael nodded as if he were expecting immediate understanding from Beatrice. Despite everything, the woman agreed. They both went to the old promenade, where a completely new Eden was created. It took Michael, Beatrice and the entire crew of workers a good few months to rebuild and move Eden from the Vatican ruins. However, it was finally possible to recreate the original design and interior of the brothel, which now has become only a bar.

It was calm inside after all the hour was not late enough for the guests to appear. Michael stood behind the bar and began pouring bourbon into two glasses, one slipped straight under Beatrice's nose. 'So what did you want to tell me? I had the impression that this was something important.', Elias asked calmly, tasting a sip of bourbon. Beatrice paled slightly but quickly shook herself out of fear. She took a deep breath and finally threw out all the secrets. 'I had no idea that you would come here with me... I thought the barrier I had set up at that house would last long enough for me to find Luna and ask her for help. But when you appeared in Eden, everything became clear... the security fell.', Beatrice said under her breath. 'Beatrice... what are you talking about?', Michael's voice broke slightly, as if he threw the question out with force.

'Michael, I am going to reveal to you all your past and the reason why you found yourself in Eden with erased memories.'
