Chapter 4: [Choosing A Weapon]

"Then what happened to Celeste after that, Granny?" Ulloriaq asked as they listened to the story of their Great-Grandmother
"Well... Celeste left the immortal realm and cast his title as an all-powerful God behind, and stepped into the land of mortals and started for the search of his beloved Azrael, until now"
"I hope Lord Celeste would find Azrael soon"
"Yeah! So they can be in each other's arms once again"
"Aiya~ stop telling them that story Mama"
"Grandpa!" Ulloriaq and Uffe called out and ran towards their beloved Grandfather as he carried them both in his arms
He chuckled as the three of them began to howl as the twins wagged their wolf tail. Ulloriaq and Uffe climbed off from his arms and ran towards me with a puppy look in their eyes
"Aunt Kyon, can we have a cookie now?" They both asked as their wolf ears and tail appear, wagging their tail as their ears were down
I sighed a put the book down as their face brightened up, I opened the cookie jar beside me and gave the jar to them
"And why's that, huh?" ~Granny
"Because it's only a Myth?" I answered on the behalf of my Father, Granny just groaned and sway her hand to give her a break. Father and I chuckled softly and give each other a fist pump as he rub my head
I am Kyon Margrave, a humal rabbit, the youngest daughter and lady of the Lunar Pack's Patriarch
And yes, I lived with a family full of Humal Wolves. The Alpha A.K.A my Father, came to the village where I originally belonged too. I was the only and last Humal who had survived the 'Yakawa Tragedy'. Father found me when I was still an infant in a wrecked cottage as they were passing the by village
Father took me and bring me to the Snowy City. He gave me food to eat, clothes, a family, and a shelter where I could call it a home. He said that it was a miracle that when he found me, I have no wounds nor even a scratch and only a fever for how many days
He adopt me and treat me like his own and kind, we are five children in total
The only difference is that I am not related to them
"By the way Kyon"
"Yes Father?"
"I've got you something, follow me" He said, I stand up and followed Father
"You have grown now and it's time for you to pick your very fist weapon" He said as I realized where we were
Father pushed the two big doors and walked in to the dark and dust hall
He lighted a torch and started to walk deeper
"Your Mother and I have been thinking through about this and we think it's time for you to wield a weapon" He continued as another two big doors appear in front of us, he blew the torch as it's light blew off
He then pushed the doors as a bright light blinded me
As soon as my eyesight adjust to it's brightness, my mouth was in an awe
"The room is your's Kyon" Father said
"But... How can I make sure that weapon is really for me?" I asked
"The weapon will pick you itself" Father said and left me in the room
There's a lot of weapons to choose but there is still no weapon who is calling for me
As I was walking around the room, something caught my eyes
A Bow
I don't know why but I can't help myself stare at it... As if it's calling me and telling me to get it
As soon as my hand reach for the bow, I awe in pain as I get my finger has been cut as my blood is smudging the bow but then, something surprised me the most
The bow vanished right into my bare hand when Father came in
"I see you have now your weapon" He said as we walk out of the room, Father explained why the bow was been sucked and vanish from my hand, it is to be summoned
Father teaches me how to summoned my weapon and how to wield it
"Kyon!" I heard Karis called out, Father and I looked back and saw Karis and Abbey
I had just remembered that Karis, Abbey, and I will be going out to buy Leticia's present
We excused ourselves to Father and get going
