Chapter 91: Chunin exam - Finals -
Kayle was standing in the middle of the arena with a huge crowd watching him curiously, in front of him was Dosu Kinuta, his opponent.
Until now all the fights of the first rounds of the exam happened as planned with the exception of Sasuke's fight against Gaara as he was late.
The referee decided to make Kayle fight against his opponent first hoping that Sasuke would arrive in the meantime, Kayle was eyeing his opponent from the sound village curiously he knew that his opponent had no chance of winning against him but he was more worried about how to successfully promote to a chunin with only one fight.
Kayle: 'I could one-shot him, but then it would be hard for the jury to decide whether I'm a qualified chunin or not...'
While lost in his thoughts the fight started, his opponent came running toward him at high speed but Kayle kept backing of avoiding every attack easily.
All the Arna was fired up with yells as they were excited by this precise exchange between the two ninjas, they saw Kayle retreating while barely avoiding the attacks and they felt their heart jump each time as it was a very close call.
After a few minutes, Kayle had finally decided on the strategy he wanted to execute and retreated to the small forest environment in the arena. It was only composed of around ten trees near the walls but it was more than enough to hide his presence completely.
Kinuta tried to find him but unfortunately for him, the two of them were on a totally different level.
Kayle: "You already lost, I analyzed your technique and I know that you have to hit your opponents to be able to use your sound Jutsu... Now that you can't even find me means that I will never lose"
Kinuta looked around trying to pinpoint Kayle's location with the sound he just made but he felt that the sound was coming from every direction which confused him even more.
Kinuta: "You are just hiding like a little rat! even if it means I can't defeat you, it also means that You can't defeat me either"
The crowd watching the fight watched with interest as they waited for Kayle's answer but all they got was a green flash instantaneity appearing in front of Kinuta as they heard.
Kayle: "Normal Punch Jutsu !"
Kayle had opened the sixth gate and with a very high speed appeared next to his opponent as he threw his punch next to his opponent's head.
Kinuta felt a huge wave of heat appearing to his right as he saw kayle suddenly standing in front of him, the next moment the wall of the arena started cracking as a loud explosion sounded due to a fireball colliding against it.
Kinuta slowly turned around to look at the damage as his legs started shaking and he fell to his knees while seeing the huge rift appearing from the very bottom of the stadium walls to the very top.
Complete silence engulfed the spectator as they were baffled by the power behind this attack.
Gai has his eyes shine almost as brightly as his smile.
Gai: 'That's Morning Peacock! that's definitely Morning Peacock! oh and he said it was a normal punch!! that's so cool why did I never think about it? Kakashi ?? where are you?? Come here, please... I just want to throw a few normal punches to you don't worry
Too bad for him Kakashi hasn't arrived yet with Sasuke so he could only refrain himself and keep watching from his seat.
The arena then exploded in cheering as they never expected such a show from a chunin exam.
Kayle: "I think I showed enough of my capabilities to promote successfully to the chunin rank, I thank everyone for watching and I surrender... this way my opponent will have more opportunities to showcase his might"
Kayle slowly left the arena ignoring the stunned Kinuta that was still on his knees while the crowd was still cheering from him.
