Chapter 25: Vampire Diaries 23: Surrender Now
"Thea!"
"Thea!"
"Thalia!"
"Thalia!"
Our names echoes around the peaceful field. But none of them tries to stop Thea from killing me.
They seem happy and entertained by the game she started.
Well, I don't want to be weak again. I am living in a vampire's body who possesses a powerful and strong ability amongst others.
"Watch as I kill your future Queen!"
Thea announces as if she's certain that I can't fight with her.
"Protagonists are always late. And now is your time to shine because later or sooner, I will get my revenge."
All vampires that surround us stopped from yelling upon hearing me. They seem surprised and astonished of everything that I have said.
"Bite her neck, now!"
"Thalia!"
"Thalia!"
They praise my name.
They cheer for my victory while Thea comes to be mad and bitter.
She said, "Stop!"
"Stop hailing a weak and worthless vampire! As tonight, all of you will witness the real and strongest vampire!"
"Thea!"
"Kill her!"
Thea looks at me without pity and mercy in her eyes. She gives me an abrupt and satirical laugh until she chokes me.
This time, it is the worst thing that I get from her. She's grinning like an evil as she continues to suffocate me.
"Touching your temple will make you weak. I am warning you, Thea. Stop this game and you will live!" I murmur.
But she's too persistent and will never accept defeat.
"DIE NOW!"
A tight and strong strength choked and strangled my neck. Slowly, I see things swivelling around until I feel the cold and frigid ground.
A deafening silence fills the field.
They thought that I'm unconscious, dead and defeated. Little did they know, it is part of my plan.
"You have witnessed the truth! You see how vulnerable and unworthy she is! Look at your future Queen carefully and tell me what you think about her!"
Thea walks towards the group of female vampires. "You! Tell me, who is the strongest vampire and who deserves to be the Queen?"
I know that the vampire she asked about is afraid. I can tell that she will not be going, to tell the truth.
"I... I choose you, Thea! You... are the strongest and you deserve to be the Vampire King's wife!"
"Hear it, Thalia? She's telling the truth that you should know!"
I didn't move.
I choose not to move even though she kicks my stomach.
Thea spreads her arms and walks like a Queen. She's smiling and assuming that she is wearing the gold and grandiose crown.
"Who is your Queen?"
"Thea!"
"Who deserves to be killed?"
"Thalia!"
Hearing my name seems like I came back to that moment.
The moment where I was defeated and died in a glorious battle.
Tonight, I will show all of them that the Thalia they're know before was gone.
The Thalia that they will see tonight is different, stronger and decisive.
While she's walking and glorifying for my loss, I slowly stand and watches her from behind.
I quickly put my finger in my lips to warn them not to make a sound.
"Huh!"
"It would be a bloody fight between the twin sister!"
From behind, I hear one of them murmuring. We will fight but I will make sure that it won't hurt anyone else especially Thea.
"Why all of your looks surprised and shocked?"
I want to burst into a peal of loud laughter but I stop myself from doing so.
I want to see her expression– her reaction.
Thea slowly turns her back on me. She's doomed and must pay her debt.
She said, "Th... Thalia, you are still alive!"
"Yes, my beloved sister. I know you can't bear to lose me or you will be punished by the Vampire King."
I tell her calmly while I am smiling shortly. "Everyone, watch how I will give her a lesson for trying to end my life!"
"No! You must die tonight, Thalia! You must be dead!"
"I was once dead, but I come back to life again to accomplish my goals and to follow my destiny!" I said.
Without giving her a warning, I run as fast as I can. I touch and wraps my arm around her cold neck.
Thea holds her breath upon knowing that I will use my long and sharp paws.
Before she can escape and hurt me first, I scrape and scratch her arms without mercy.
She wanted to be hurt.
She chooses to mess up with me and I will never run and escape from anybody.
"Ahhhh Thaaaaalia!"
She screams horribly and loudly. Her blood spatters into my face as I lick and tastes it.
I said, "Hmmm. Your love is too sweet and fragrant. What if I drink all of yours until you die?"
"You will pay for this, Thalia! You will be going to pay for this! I swear!"
All of the vampires witnesses how I hurt my own sister. I know, any moment, father and Jack will appear and come to stop us fighting for nothing.
But I will not stop until she's the one to surrender.
"Attack me, Thea! Come closer and hurt me too!"
Despite of the pain in my head, I try to be calm and steady. I must finish this mess before resting the entire cold night.
"Kill her, Thea! She's only laughing on you!"
"Upon killing your nominee, I will drink all of your blood until you perish! This empire will never be awful without all of you!" I said.
I know most of them wanted Thea to win. But, I don't mind their opinions and expectations.
The most crucial thing now is to compel her to surrender.
"Stop talking nonsense, Thalia! Let us start this fight, now!"
But before I can jump and reach for her chest, Thea abruptly stands behind me. She quickly scrapes my arms, back and even my legs.
"Ahhh!"
"Moan louder, Thalia!
"Moan louder!"
Thea walks nigher, showing her paws and pointed fangs. I can even smell my own blood and flesh but I must concentrate.
My entire body is bleeding as if I soak up my body into a lake of blood.
Slowly and gently, I stand without anyone's help.
They are all laughing, clapping and even cursing.
"I know you won't accept downfall. That's why you want to tear my body apart!"
"If you want to be alive, and live a simple life. Surrender and fall into my knees, Thalia! By that, I will let you escape from here and from the Vampire King!"
Thea tells me while swiping and scratching my back.
Until she punches my stomach which makes me spit out my blood.
"Surrender now and you will live. And if you continue to fight with me, then face the reality!"
Thea tells me calmly.
