Chapter 39: THE WEEK AT Weasley's
In the correspondence with Minerva, Molly had showed her concern regarding the absence of any funny news about the twins from the school for three months. She had honestly expected to get a reply somewhere around the point that they had fallen ill and therefore they had cutback on their mischief, but that was not to be the case.
Minerva responded that the twins had unexpectedly become friends with a certain Harry Potter and though she did not understand what it is that they had in common or what they spoke about but it was definitely good for the twins. the twins still did not take their classes seriously but unlike the previous times where they would do something or the other to disrupt the class, they had been engrossed in something so badly that they had not disturbed the teachers or the students for a week at a time.
Just like Molly, the teachers too were concerned, in the beginning they thought that the twins were working on something so big that they had to actually focus for a full week in preparations and they were on the lookout during every gathering in the great hall but when nothing happened for a whole month they became concerned and even some students came to ask their respective househeads if they could ask minerva into looking for the reason.
Upon her search she found out that the twins had recently became friends with Harry and that they had been having discussions that had made the twins interested in some topic and that had them busy. She herself tracked their behavior for a week and after finding that they were just immersed in some kind of research she left them alone.
After getting a letter from Molly she responded how Harry had been a good influence on the twins and how any change in the twins is good. Molly had been hoping to invite Harry to their home for showing how thankful she was but had no idea how to go about it. As far as anyone other than dumble's was concerned Harry potter had been living someplace extremely safe and away from the magical world for his protection.
Molly did not even know how to bring up the topic with the twins in the fear that they will feel defensive and she did not wish for the positive influence to be removed, therefore she did not speak with the twins when they returned for the year end vacation. One night she suddenly discovered that the clock in the kitchen made an unalarming noise that informed her of anyone who had not reached magical maturity leaving the house past midnight.
She woke up and checked up on her kids and found the twins missing so she searched for any clue as to where they went. She searched around the house and found their dads magical car missing. Though she was concerned she was confident in her sons and the recent report had her assured a bit more.
She stayed awake till the morning when she saw her sons and another young boy come in the house trying to stay quite, unsuccessfully. As the twins got caught and introduced the boy Molly was very happy and hence she hugged him and was pleasantly surprised when he hugged her back with the same affection that she was showing him.
As she recounted everything Harry was surprised as he never imagined him commissioning the twins on making him JOKER will turn so many heads. Harry dismissed her thanks and hugged her while saying that she had no need to be thankful as he appreciates his friendship with the twins and that he was grateful to them for letting him stay here.
Along the week, Molly as well as others got to know the reality of Harry's housing situation and shock was apparent. Molly went full mom mode and tried to comfort Harry as well as possible, previously she was just grateful because of her sons but now she fully thought of him as one of her own.
Along the week Harry fully integrated in the family. He ate with everyone on the table, did menial chores with the twins, played quidditch with everyone, helped Mrs. weasley in her chores, discussed muggle life with Mr. weasley and corresponded with hermione and daphne. Harry did not worry much about the upcoming year and its problems but just enjoyed.
Hermione spent her time this break with her parents travelling instead of studying and as she told in her letters, her parents were very happy and felt that Hogwarts was very good for their daughter. Before when she was in the non magical world she always had trouble mingling and her only solace was books but now that she had been in the magical world she had finally found her place and her own people and they were happy.
Daphne on the other hand was taking etiquette and dance lessons. She explained that her dad had her getting ready to be presentable when their betrothal will be announced and for that instead of strong spells and all she had to focus on was becoming presentable in the magic society. Harry had asked her to be true to herself and that he supports all her decisions irrespective of what her father says, so she had no pressure from his side and that he will be happy as long she was.
After a week of staying with the Weasley's it was decided that next week we will all go to the diagon alley for the supplies. Hermione had made plans with some of the gryffindor girls and therefore was not going to meet them. Daphne was sure to meet Harry and shop together so Harry had informed the Greengrass's of their plans.
The twins had their own little fortune from the sales of the JOKER but they had not informed their family so instead they feigned that even if they go they do not require an allowance as they had nothing to buy. The Weasleys' were always trying to save so seeing the two most naughty kids acting sensibly was pleasantly surprising for them.
The twins however were making plans to buy good things for their younger sister who will be starting her first year at Hogwarts as well as their elder brother who had started working as a cursebreaker. It was the first time that they had surplus so they were very eager to spend it on their siblings.
