Chapter 46: 5 Years Later
I take my shoes off wiggling my toes in the cool grass before slowly lowering myself to sit. "Sorry I haven't visited the last couple of weeks. My schedule has been insane lately, but I'll always make time to see you. Not that I ever feel like it's enough." I wipe a tear from my eye. "We finally moved into the new house. It's nice, I think you would like it finally out of the city with a real yard, there's an old cherry blossom tree in the Doma and the well is still functioning the koi pond is all dried out, but we plan to clean it out and fill it with loads of koi." I see something blue from the corner of my eye and smile.
"Aizawa and Emi are FINNALY getting married this weekend. Should be the last wedding I have to go to for a long time, at least not until Eri finds someone special and decides to get married, but let's hope that's many years off. She's doing extremely well in school. She chose general studies over the hero course, she's decided she wants to use her quirk to heal. Says she'll be the next recovery girl." I let out a chuckle turning a moment to see two small feet in the air dreading having to yet again scrub that stupid Elsa dress.
"Ai has become more curious about everything lately. She wants me to tell her everything about us I've given her the highlights of course. When we moved I found a heavy duty picture frame and put your picture in it so she could have it in her room. She keeps it on her nightstand and hugs it every night before bed then has me give you a kiss." I laugh from deep within. "When I kiss your picture she has the audacity to yell 'ew gross' like she didn't just tell me to do it. When I ask her why she has me kiss the photo if it's gross she just says 'because you love him'" I fight back tears.
I feel my stomach move and instinctively place my hand over it wearing a sad smile. "It's a boy, just found out yesterday. Haven't a clue on a name yet. Ai isn't happy, she wanted a sister to play Elsa and Ana with. I swear if I hear one more song from one of the Frozen movies I'm going to ask Bakugo to blow up everything Disney. Not that he would, he's the number on culprit to put it on for her to watch. She had her first sleep over with Uncle Katsi and Ejro since they adopted their little girl, she can say their names normally now that she's older she just chooses not to. They went a little overboard it being her first sleep over with them in three months."
I lower myself onto the grass laying on my side hand caressing the grass. "'Time heals all wounds' is a total crock of shit just so you know. Losing you hurts just as bad today as it did five years ago. It's more like 'you can get used to any pain in time' if you ask me. There are days it hurts a little more, but I push through. Have Ai to think about after all. I know you'd want me to be happy so I do make sure to enjoy things as they come. I'd give almost anything to feel your arms around me one last time, to kiss your lips, to tell you I love you." The tears fall so heavy I don't even notice it's starting to rain at first. "Ai, we need to get going honey" I call to her as I struggle to stand, two strong arms grab me and help me to my feet I feel a kiss land on the top of my head.
"I'm sorry for the rain Bunny, we'll try to get back and visit soon." I nod giving Tamaki a smile. "Could I have just one more minute with him alone?" He gives me a sad smile before chasing the red haired little girl, she squeals shooting little blue flames at him. "I love you Touya I wish I had told you more than I did, but I'm happy I was able to tell you at least once. No amount of time will ever change my love for you, I wish you could be here to watch our daughter grow." I close my eyes the rain coming harder now I can hear his voice in my mind "I love you Y/N." I heave over hands covering my face as I cry hard. "I'm sorry I pushed you away, you deserved better and I let you down. When I see you again one day I promise to kiss your lips and tell you I love you a thousand thousand times."
