Chapter 49: A helpless deal

"So...are you willing to accept my favor?"

While Eva was lost in her countless perplexed thoughts running deep down inside her mind, all of a sudden she flinched hard with the sudden blunt interrogation from Czar. His dark intense eyes were locked on her with a sly small smirk lingering on his passionate red soft lips.

But the small smirk somehow emitted a vicious aura to her and she was perceiving chills on her spine, facing such a mysterious man.

"How can I trust this creepy jerk? What if...he really intends to put me in danger? Worst, what if he really wants to kill me? Damn... Even his smile is giving me chills..." She wondered with a frown face, scrunching her eyebrow ridge deeper.

"Why are you looking at me so passionately?" He evoked a teasing interrogation and the smile on his lips grew broader. Staring at her, he further continued to provoke her, "from your expressions, there are two possibilities of your thinking. First one, either you are falling for such a handsome, charming and a perfect man like me. Secondly, you must be so touched from your heart to witness my kind favor that you are running out of words to thank me. Am I right?"

"Huh, what a crappy dumb assumption! Well, I guess he is not only a creep but also his brain capacity must be tinier than the size of a pea." She sighed out deep hearing out his proclamation and slowly caressed the bruised reddened area of her wrist.

It was still paining quite profoundly, with the imprinting of his four broad finger patches on her white skin. It was the impact of the strength by which he was gripping on her. The more she perceived the pain sensation, the more her anger was growing stronger on him.

"Well, thank you for your consideration. But, I guess, I will be fine on my own from now. You don't have to tag along with me... I will go and visit him by myself." With a frowned expression, she conveyed her verdict in a strict tone and took a step forward, straight ahead to the mansion from their hideout.

Czar sneered again at her proclamation and gazed at her from behind as she was marching forward. "Alright, if that's what you want, go ahead." He murmured cryptically.

Eva didn't halt and continued to move forward, without taking a glance back at him. She was still mad at him and it was evident from her gesticulations.

"But...within a few minutes, you will be a dead piece of meat chunk as soon as you take a step inside the mansion. I doubt...even if your bones will be left behind at least..." Moving a bit away from their hideout wall, where he was standing leaning against the wall, he shifted his face entirely towards her conducting his statement with a dubious look in his dark eyes. "And to be blunt, as I have already told you, there will be no one to help you no matter how hard you scream...not even me!"

Her motion halted as soon as she heard his verdict which swooned her in fear from inside. Her heart started to palpitate harder and gulping her saliva anxiously, she turned her back at him. "Wh-What?" She probed.

"I had already warned you yesterday, stepping inside a vicious den would leave you turned into a heap of flesh and blood... There is no guarantee you would ever get to see Zeus if you go on your own, at least not in this life." He sounded much darker this time, rolling his gleaming eyes wider.

Her heart was pounding hard in dread witnessing the scary mystic look in his eyes which screamed a more ominous situation ahead of her in that horrifying mansion.

"Damn it! The only person who is aware of the entire ominous scenario here..is this jerk... What if... he is really telling the truth? What if I really get killed by the guards here? Or what...if they attack me just the way that monster attacked Zeus?" She was palpitating, lost in her thoughts, lowering her eyes down.

Czar slowly approached closer to her, marching with gallant bold steps, and evoked a cryptic smirk while she was all gazing downwards. "Alright, if you are brave enough to go on your own... then good luck on your mission." Whispering his words closer to her ears, he took a step forward to walk away from the place, with a small smile lingering on his lips.

"No...Wait!" All of a sudden, she gripped his broad arm from behind, intending to stop him from leaving away. "Don't just leave yet... I... I... am really so fucking helpless at this moment... Only...you can help me here--"

"But I won't help you for free!" He interrupted her statement and shifted his face sideways and glared at her in a dubious stare in his eyes. "You have to give me a promise of never coming back here again... And if you dare to break your promise, I will be the one who will kill you first! Remember, we value promises more than lives."

With his rugged intense verdict, she was growing more nervous but tried to portray herself composed before him. "Al-Alright... but, you have to keep your promise of helping me meet him without me getting harmed by anyone else." She reciprocated in a blunt tone.

His eyes glimmered with joy as she agreed to his declaration and he nodded his head in assurance. Slowly, he retreated closer to her taking a step back, and gripped her soft tender warm palm, holding it tighter. "Till I am with you, no one will be able to put a scratch on you here, little duckling." With a sly mysterious wink, he smiled at her wider.

"I don't even have any option left apart from trusting this jerk here. I hope...he won't betray me at least." Looking at his broad, veiny hands holding her arm, she was thinking on her own, sighing out deeper.

"But before that, you need something." All of a sudden, he whispered in a low voice, tugging her closer to his chest with a robust pull.

She was surprised with his sudden absurd behavior and glared at him fiercely, "hey! What's with this sudden behavior now?"
