Chapter 18: Summit
Meeting up at the school after classes over Adam sensed an influx of different kinds of energy in a certain part of the building. "I guess I'm late," he told himself. He had been working nonstop on his weapon but has yet to get close to even finishing it.
Walking into the room he first saw Azazel who had a carefree look on his face. Across from him were Serfall and Sirzechs and next to them was Michael.
"Who knew I'd be seeing you here boy" Azazel was the first to talk to Adam.
Adam ignored him and walked next to Mikasa.
"Now that everyone that was involved in the recent activities has arrived let begin," Sirzechs said.
"To start things off can someone go into details about the incident that happened," Michael said while looking at Rias and Sona.
Rias then explained Kokabiels' plan. Once she was done, Sona backed up Rias' claims.
"What does the Governor of the Fallen angels have to say about this?" Michael asked.
"It doesn't really matter, Kokabiel was acting on his own. He's also already dead isn't that right kid?" he said and then turned to look towards Adam.
"Yeah, I can guarantee I killed him" Adam replied without hesitation.
"See, If he's already dead then let's forget about him," Azazel said, trying to change the topic.
"The problem is the reason behind his actions," Michale said.
"He was just unhappy that I didn't want to continue fighting, I'm sure we all have those types of people right, Maou Lucifer," Azazel told Sirzechs. "Let's stop beating around the bush, we all came here to talk about a peace treaty so why don't we get to do that already" Azazel stopped and then continued "Is what I want to say but we have to take in the opinion of three other people as well" he finished saying.
"White Dragon Emperor, what do you want to do?" Azazel asked Vali.
"I just want to fight strong people," Vali said while looking towards Adam.
"What about you Red Dragon Emperor," he asked Issei
"I Uhm..." Issei's brain stopped working for a second. "I just want to use my power to protect my friends and loved ones," he said after thinking for a while.
"What about you boy?" Azazel asked while looking at Adam.
"I don't think you don't need my opinion, I'm just here to watch," Adam said.
"Don't joke around Kid, I saw what you did to that army of fallen angels. Those guys weren't cannon fodder either, they were some of the strongest soldiers under Kokabiel" Azazel replied to Adam.
"I guess you make a good point," Adam said and then took up a thinking pose "What I want is peace like the rest of you" he finished saying.
Everyone felt like he wasn't saying everything he wanted to say but decided to ignore it since he ultimately decided on peace.
Before they could say anything else a magic spell covered the entire school freezing time. The only people that were frozen were Sona, Tsubaki, Asia, Akeno, and Mikasa.
Adam wanted to test how time magic worked against him and as he predicted he was still able to move.
"It seems they caught Rias' bishop. He's one of the few people who have time magic." Sirzechs said.
"Rias and Issei, you guys should go and rescue Koneko and Gasper," Adam said. " If you guys could keep Mikasa safe for me then I can distract the enemies outside.
"What enemies?" Xenovia asked.
Right after she asked that hundreds of magicians teleported through magic circles outside of the building.
Not giving them a chance to do anything Adam dashed outside. Running through the ground Adam summoned a spear then jumped into the air and threw his spear. Once the spear was thrown a red streak was seen decapitating dozens of magicians in a matter of seconds.
Adam continued his kill streak without giving the magicians a break. They were struggling to even see him.
"Boom!" Suddenly a huge explosion went off in the building. Looking over his shoulder Adam saw a tanned woman with brown hair arguing with Azazel.
They then began battling with Azazel easily overpowering her. She then took out a snake and absorbed it. The snake gave her a small boost in her power but it was enough to make Azazel take out his artificial sacred gear.
With it on, he was able to beat her without any problem. He launched a light spear straight into her head, killing her immediately. He also didn't need to sacrifice his arm to be able to kill her.
Vali then shot a magic attack towards Azazel knocking him to the ground.
"I'm sorry Azazel, with these people I can do what I want and fight whoever I want," he told Azazel and then announced to everyone "My name is Vali Lucifer, descendent of the Original Devil King Lucifer and current host of the White Dragon Emperor"
Everyone was shocked to learn of the news but Adam just watched his movements.
"I did want to fight you Red Dragon Emperor but as you are too weak to give me a good fight. It would be a disgrace to our Rivalry if I fought you right now. That's why I want to fight against the human there. He was able to beat Kokabiel without any Issue." he said while looking at Adam.
Adam had seen how Vali was watching him the entire fight and already had an idea of what he wanted. "As I told you before, I have nothing to do with your rivalry". He honestly just didn't want to fight him because if he beat him then he'd be marked as one of his rivals and Adam thought that I'd just be a nuisance.
"I knew you'd say something like that. But you'll probably want to fight me if I killed that human girl you were with". Vali saw how close they were and assumed she meant something to him since he saw how he took a spear to the body to save her. He then shot a beam of his magical energy towards Mikasa.
Gasper had already been saved by Rias and Issei which made it so that everyone who was previously frozen was now able to move.
Adam just launched one of his swords towards the beam completely nullifying it.
"You just can't take no for an answer can you?" Adam asked while looking down.
"I see you're in the spirit to fight, NOW COME!!" Vali yelled excitedly.
Adam had been having flashbacks of Mikasa's dead body over the last couple of days. He didn't like putting her in danger but he also knew the dangers of her not becoming strong. But when someone targets her just to get a fight out of him, that pissed him off.
"You only have yourself to blame for this" Adam said without a hint of emotion.
He then pulled out a sword he had made just to kill dragons. It was a large two-handed medieval-looking sword. It looked normal to the low-strength people around but everyone stronger than middle-class devils could sense dozens of dragon corpses making up the sword.
Not giving anyone any time he launched the sword in Vali's direction.
"Is that all you got!" Vali screamed at Adam.
"This is what you wanted" Adam talked to himself again. He then unsealed his mana making a shockwave that pushed everyone back.
"Hey, Adam! Don't take Vali too seriously he was just bluffing he wouldn't actually kill her" Azazel yelled at Adam since he saw that things were getting out of hand.
Not listening to Azazel, Adam flexed his leg muscles creating dozens of cracks under him with a giant crater. He summoned the sword back towards him and threw it one more time but this time he launched with. He flew up towards Vali and when he was behind him he grabbed his sword mid-air. "Now Die" he spoke in a cold tone. He swung the sword down into Vali's chest with the most strength he could put behind it.
Vali was sent hurtling down to the ground at a ridiculous speed making a large crater on the ground with Vali and someone else at the epicenter.
"What the heck- 'cough'" someone else's voice came from inside the smoke. He seemed to have been impacted by the swing of the sword as well since he was coughing up what everyone assumed to be blood. "We were supposed to be fighting the Northern Earth gods so I was told to bring you back. But instead, I find you fighting some monster that wanted you dead" he said while looking up towards the sky where Adam was still looking down at them.
Once the smoke cleared up everyone could see a tattered up Vali who didn't even have his dragon armor on anymore and only had bruises and blood covering his body. There was someone next to him who was wearing light leather armor. He had short spiky hair and was holding a brown staff with his right hand.
"It seems I was still underestimating him," Vali said while standing up from the ground. "Let's get out of here Bikou I need time to heal," Vali told Bikou.
"Alright, till we meet next time. Except you in the air, you're a bit scary" Bikou said and teleported both him and Vali back to their headquarters.
Once they were done Adam jumped back down towards the group that had been spectating for a while. "I'll leave the school repair to you guys. Sorry for making a mess" he then walked towards Mikasa, Xenovia, and Asia and teleported all of them.
"Has he always been that impulsive?" Azazel asked towards the group that was still there.
"No.... he's been acting weird since he woke up a couple of days ago," Sona said.
"Yeah, he seems to be in a hurry. Before he seemed like he was waiting for time to pass but now he acts like there isn't enough time" Koneko said.
"Maybe he knows something the rest of us don't?" Rias asked. Everyone else just took it as an exaggeration and didn't think too much of it.
They then all said their goodbyes and went back to their headquarters leaving Rias, Sona, and their peerages to look over the school.

Adam hurried back to his room to finish his weapon because he started to feel mana condensing under Fuyuki city for the last couple of days. He already knew that it meant that the holy grail war was about to start. But what he didn't know was how it was starting.
Going off by the amount of mana that has been condensing under the city then he estimated that he had two months until the city became a warzone filled with servants and masters.
He knew that he had to deal with Gilgamesh again so he wanted to finish his weapon by that time.

A few days after the Summit Adam felt a ritual going on. Going to investigate where the mana was coming from he saw that it was coming from the Eizenbern castle. He assumed that Berserker had just been summoned by Illysaviel.
He let them do what they wanted since they rarely even left the castle so nobody else would know that there was a servant summoned already. The only other person that would know would be Kirei since he has to register every Master and Servant.
The day after the summoning Ritual Adam decided he would visit RIn and see how she was doing.
Going over the Tohsaka manor he knocked on the door. He already knew Rin had sensed him and was currently hiding behind the window curtains while trying to look at him through them.
"Rin I know you see me so open the door," Adam said while looking at the window where she was.
"No, you should just leave because I'm not opening the door" Rin yelled at him through the window.
"Fine I guess I'll leave," Adam said and left.
Rin actually wanted to talk to Adam but felt awkward for ignoring him the last couple of years.
"Haa" she sighed once she saw Adam had left "How do I even talk to him," she asked herself.
"It's easy just talk to me and I'll respond" a voice behind her said.
"EEEEEKK" she screamed. She slipped on a dirty shirt that she had left on the floor.
"Get down from there!" she said while looking at the window.
Adam had just jumped to the window where she was looking at him and was standing outside of it.
"How did you even get there? Sheesh, you can't act like a normal person" she complained. She then opened her window allowing Adam to walk in.
"Well if you opened the door like a normal person I wouldn't have to do this," Adam said ignoring her question "Also what's with this mess? Don't you know how to clean?" he said while lifting her dirty clothes with his index finger and thumb.
"Don't just walk in here and grab my stuff. Give me that!" she said. She then snatched her clothes away from Adam.
"I'm just saying, this isn't how a normal person should be living. At least clean up once in a while." Adam told her.
"Yes of course you're right I'll clean up later. Now can you tell me what you're doing here?" she asked.
"I figured you were getting lonely staying in this empty place all the time," Adam told her. "What do you even do in here?" he asked.
"It's none of your business" she replied.
"Is this how the Tohsaka family treats their guest? Not even a cup of tea?" Adam asked sarcastically.
"Fine," she said and went downstairs to make a cup of tea from the only tea she had. Once it was done she went back to her room and gave him the cup of tea.
"So? what did you actually want?" she asked again.
"I just wanted to tell you that we've gotten new residents at our house and wanted to ask you if you wanted to meet them," Adam told her.
Rin honestly didn't want to go and talk to new people but she also was getting pretty lonely staying in her house and only studying and training day and night.
"I guess I can go but you better not disappear last second," she said but then realized how weird it sounded so she added more "It's not like I want you to be there it's just that it'll be awkward with only new people there," she said with a haughty look.
"Right, I understand Miss Tsundere" Adam replied to her. He then stood up and left the manor
"Who are you calling a Tsundere?! Hey, don't run away from me... come back!" she said while trying to land a hit on him.
Adam had already left her house before she could even get close to him. He made his presence disappear and went to look at the situation of the Matou household. He had been keeping track of Sakura's whereabouts at all times. He couldn't go all out and take her away from the household but he could still make it so that she didn't suffer at the hands of Shinji by using his luck manipulation on her so that she would have better luck than she would have.
He was now looking at Sakura who was sitting on a bench with empty eyes.
Walking up to her he could sense the worms inside her. He could easily destroy all of them and free her from being used as a tool for the Matou family but then he would have to deal with Zouken Matou. Adam didn't think that he would lose in a fight against him but he wouldn't have anything to cover up his death so he had to wait until the holy grail war started so he could place the blame on a servant.
Walking up to her Adam took out a cherry blossom and handed it over to her "Just hang in there a bit more. After that you won't have to live your life for someone else's goals so until then don't give up" he said as he vanished leaving more cherry blossoms where he was.
Sakura just looked at where Adam was with a small amount of hope in her empty eyes.
