Chapter 77: Invitation

The Elven king, his father, and his son, along with Lapis, and the queen were discussing with the generals about the current progress of war, half a year ago The Demon Lord Atila declared war on the entire continent and announced that anyone who objects to her rule will be eliminated.
Mankind's races all united and are at a battle front with Atila.
She already conquered the lower 10th of the continent, but due to the united forced acting in time, they are stopped at a standstill.
But that doesn't mean that everything is okay.
If things keep going at this rate all the kingdoms will suffer a heavy death and economic toll, Atila on the other hand does not care, she ca make new demons and steal money from her conquered kingdoms.
Emel: "we can't keep this going forever, we have to find away to end Atila and quickly"
Zein: "don't worry your majesty, her army is unorganized and without expertise, their numbers are the only problems, but even Atila will run out eventually"
It was impossible to create such a large number of demons at once, but Atila Apparently was hoarding them in secret for the last 10 years, if they kept at this pace, they will run out in a year, then all the races can go all out on Atila and end her reign.
Darren: "Patience will be the key of this fight, we just have to keep at this pace and everything will work out"
Shin: "Forgive me for my intrusion"

The entire room was alarmed, somehow a young red-haired man entered this unauthorized area without anyone noticing.
Emel: "everyone lower your weapons"
The Elven king lived along life, and was used to surprises, he understood that should this stranger had any intentions to assassinate or spy, he could have done it without revealing himself, he just apologized for his intrusion in order to imply that he doesn't have any bad intent.
Emel: "name yourself"
Shin: "I'm Shin one of King Sapphires loyal subjects"
Emel: "I've never heard of that name before"
Shin: "our kingdom was born recently, and I was sent to give an invitation to hold a treaty"
The Elven king stayed composed, it was not surprising to him to hear about a new kingdom, many kingdoms rose and fall in his lifetime, unlike the Elves who all live under his rule, many other races and especially humans have a few small kingdoms next to the major one, he probably comes from a new human kingdom, and what he said about a treaty was the polite action when a new kingdom is born to announce that they have no bad intentions, but it's still strange that a kingdom was made without him knowing about it, could it be some of those who escaped from Atila's carnage banded and made a new kingdom, this young man looks like he can take half the people in the room on his own, if this new kingdom can give extra war potential then that could be good development.
Emel: "What is the name of this new kingdom"
Emel asked in a polite manner to show respect, this is a political issue after all.
Shin: "My king Sapphire Rules the great Leviathan Kingdom"
*silence*
Lapis: "ammm... Excuse me did you say leviathan?"
Shin: "indeed"
Many kingdoms name themselves after monsters or animals to give a good impression of their power, but no kingdom before chose such a terrifying name.
Emel: "were is this kingdom exactly?"
Emel asked with an ominous feeling in his chest, this can't be good.
Shin: "our kingdom is the entire Dorcha continent"

Everyone in the room went silent.
Emel: "Your king.... He's a Demon Lord isn't he"
Emel asked a question he wished he was wrong at.
Shin: "Indeed my King is the Demon Lord known as the Demon king Sapphire, ruler of the demon continent"

Shin's eyes that were hidden with his red hair finally showed.
?? : "red eyes..."
? : "a demon"
??? : "DIEEE"
The last one of the generals lost his sense and attacked instinctly.
*clash*
His strike was blocked by the prince.
Alec: "forgive our general he's a little tense from war lately, we need to discuss this with our council so I hope, you give us some time"
Shin gave gave him a letter.
Shin: "in two weeks at this location we'll be waiting yours and the other kingdoms reply"
*wooosh*
Shin teleported out of the room.
??? : "Your highness, why did you stop me"
*smack*
Zein: "ARE YOU A MORON, IF THAT MAN ATTACKED HALF OF THE PEOPLE IN THIS ROOM WOULD BE DEAD"
??? : "!!!"
Alec: "it's alright Zein for now we need to know what to do with this development"
Emel: "Father what are your thoughts?"
Although the Darren looked like he was standing still he was fully ready to pounce on the intruder the moment he sensed hostility, luckily things didn't go too far.
Darren: "the timing is way too convenient"
Emel: "you think so too"
Lapis: "the timing?"
Darren: "yes, think carefully what is going on right now"
Lapis: "our war with Atila"
Emel: "exactly, why would he choose this moment to contact us, unless he intends to take advantage of the situation"
Lapis: "what do you mean?"
Darren: "it means he might want to use this war as a way to take one of us out, Demon Lords can't stand each other the most, but they also can't stand mankind, it means at the moment two of his enemies are fighting, if he chose to wait until one of us to kill the other, it would be the best time for him to attack, yet he chose this chaotic moment, risking that we end up attacking him, also his invitation is highly strange, This is the first time a Demon Lord offers a peace treaty"
Zeid: " couldn't he be just a small S rank demon lord and knows he can't defeat us?"
Emel: "he's at least an SSS rank"
Zeid: "WHAT?!! HE'S THE SAME AS ATILA HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT?!"
Darren: "that messenger was an SS rank"

Alec: "also that claim he made implies it"
Lapis: "what claim?"
Alec: "that he's the king of the <entire> demon continent"
Lapis: "..."
Lapis understood what her nephew meant, since the first demon lord, no one managed to unite the entire demon continent, demons are prideful and will not follow someone with the same rank or lower rank, and to unite the entire continent will take at least an SSS rank.
Emel: " Dona is their any word from Seid"
The Elven Queen had a special blessing, it was to be able to contact the god of wind, their was only two elves in the entire continent that had this blessing, and the queen was one of them, of course whether he answers or not was up to him, in her entire life the queen got only two replies from Seid, but they were both recorded as historical moments in the royal archives, the elf King was hoping that this situation was enough to attract the god of winds attention.
Dona: "oh wise god of wind please give us an answer that with guides us to salvation"
Dona prayed not expecting an answer...
Dona: "HE'S REPLYING"
All the elves in the room held their breath waiting for the historical words of wisdom...
Dona: "he says... One chicken skewer with extra herb extract please.....

It should be pointed out that the other blessing owner was a restaurant chef that Seid asked delivery from to his temple where the food mysteriously disappears every other week, of course the public doesn't need to know that.

Dona:" WAIT THERE'S MORE!"
Lapis: "what does he want a drink with that"
Dona: " he says: well while I have you guys on the line I guess it wouldn't be bad to hear the Demon Lord's offer out."
*silence*
Well that settles it, despite seeming to be carefree, the god of wind is known for his wit, if he said they should hear the Demon Lord out, then it probably is the optimal option.
